One of the blogs I frequently browse / follow here is Design Fetish, its a really interesting blog that show cases different interesting designs. From marketing adverts to just interesting products! Its really interesting and entertaining what people can come up with :o

and one of the things I've stumbled upon today is...well...GIANT POLAROIDS LOL. Who DOESNT love the vintage feel of polaroids?! xD Their just awesome and made of epic win (or in my opinion atleast)

I know in the past people have come out with remakes of the polaroid. From the original polaroids, to instant printer docks even to the popular Fuji Instax Minis. But has anyone ever tried making GIANT ones? HAHA, cue in a Berlin company called Polaboy.de!

From what I read on their website, they also do light framing fixtures? And they take your existing polaroid and blow it up and turn it into a giant poraloid o_o...hmm....interesting.

The polaroids comes in 2 different sizes. So I guess you'd have a choice if you wanted a more traditional wider polaroid or the imitation size of the Mini instaxs. Haha. Fun.

This just gives me an idea to try and be ghetto and make my own. hahaha.
Time to visit my local kinkos and blow up an image and pick me up some poster boards then HAHAHA!

you know what, I think this would be my new project HAHA. Maybe I'll make a medium sized polaroid HAHA a 8x10 or some along that lines HAHAHA and maybe a GIANT ONE?! lol. The walls in my room is looking pretty bare lolz....hmm....

Los Angeles Cosplay Photoshoot & Plans

A couple days ago someone sent me a private message via Deviantart regarding a cosplay photoshoot gathering type deal being hosted over in Los Angeles at USC (University Southern California ???)
and I went and checked their website, apparently they are looking for volunteer photographers. So I figured why not o_o

I havent done a photoshoot outside of a convention setting in so long, it might be nice to get out again and a good chance to cover another event and meet new people?

Before that, I need to make sure to order a new compact flash for my camera since I'll be converting back to shooting RAW photos and hopefully we can get more shots out of our old GG group from ALA - this time in a different setting? 8D

Along with new photo shoot plans - I talked about this on my dA and tumblr accounts too. I do not want to miss another year of Cherry Blossoms and let it pass me by. I roped a few friends into doing "Tsugai Kogarashi" Vocaloid 8D for Meiko and Kaito.

So with that being said, new costumes need to be sewn! 8D oh yes! hahaha

Lets hope this happens!

Anime Los Angeles 2012

Wheeee Anime Anime Los Angeles came and went *u* this one was a pretty interesting one since we didnt have Toshi with us ;A; sad faceeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee. Toshi couldnt make it but def. tried ;A;

This years ALA we did something new that we havent done in a long time - GROUP COSPLAY. Lol. I didnt participate in this said group LOL. But I did contribute by making Ash's costume *u* Hahaha. If you follow me on Tumblr you'd see progress photos of the costumes I did - Ky Kiske & Madness of the Duke Gackpod. (Warning: my Tumblr is NSFW 8BB and 18+ lawwwl. Sorry. xD)

We left Friday midnoon since I had to work early that morning u__u zomfg I was so dead like a zombie but hahaha. We swung by Mennifee (middle of no where near Riverside)to pick up Shou and hit LA traffic LOl. didnt get there till Friday evening around 6 or 7. So we missed Friday activities and I didnt get to pick up my badge till late the following morning. X__x

My sister and her BF joined us for this years ALA instead. She sported her Dirge of Cerbirus Yuffie and her BF did someone from Fairy Tale 8B

Saturday night was epicly stupid o_o lotsa drinking....and I mean LOTS. Mostly involving Natt challenging me to drinking. Clearly, I won HAHA. He passed out pretty early xD

We also did shot games with Blazblue. I need to practice my BB game more hahaha. I lost most matches but still held my liqour longer lol.

Long time no post - I know. I've been lame and dead. I went to ALA tho 8D eeee lmao. Finished a few costumes zomfg. xD that was interesting.

I did Ky Kiske for Ash and a Gackpod costume from Vocaloid for Nick 8D in just a few days. Spent New Years eve working on costumes till late with a few friends. Fun times. Fun times but I welcomed this years New Year sober but made up for it with ALA. But that post is for later >8D

This post is about me rambling on about photography and my new purse LOLZ!

Coming back from ALA I decided I wanted to try and make this year a productive one. I have a few ideas I want to try and make it happen -get back into shooting and more cosplays. Regardless of budget constraints and whatnot, you gotta find something that makes you happy right? or productive atleast HAHA. A fun productive hobby.

And with that being said, one of my goals is to try and learn a few more photo tricks - mostly photo editing tricks. I felt I've played it face with most photos from the past year. This time I want to be able to play with more muted tones, sepias and whatnot - basically hipster Instagram shit haha.

And eventually I do want to upgrade my camera since my current Sony Alpha has shit ISO control ): sadly sadly sadly. But till then, might as well make do with what I have.

This post is gonna be a kill two birds with one stone type of post hahaha.

I experimented with these muted tones and whatnot - or well, tried to. I dont know if I achieved it well enough. I hope to be able to try it on a portraiture subject eventually 8D but till then, make do with what you got, right?

I recently ordered a new purse from The Purse Boutique over at Ebay since I've been needing a - decently sized one that doesnt have to be a messenger bag. I was originally eyeing the H.Naoto messenger but I decided to opt out of it ): and I'm kinda glad I did since I stumbled upon the PERFECT one. This bag is HUGE, LEATHER-Y, HAS ALOT OF POCKETS and Hidden Compartments and...did I mention it was HUGE and is LEOPARD print inside?! *u* I can practically shove my camera in there if I want to and a few other things.

Best part is, its a HANDBAG AND A MESSENGER - well, it has a long enough strap that you can wear it across your body. And to me, THAT IS WIN WIN!!! So I'm totally loving this one.

And so moving on to the new photo edits HAHAHA.

This is basically what I carry with me on a daily basis - I use to carry a DS/PSP with me, but since I was using a small to medium sized bag prior to this, I didnt feel the need to shove it in with everything else. but now, omfg I CAN BRING IT hahaha but its not in the photo. Lol. Sorry.

I personally dont know how I feel about the edited version. I feel like maybe I should have stuck with warmer tones and sepias and whanot instead of going with a more cool tone. Just because the lighting I had was more warm - yellow. /: oh well. Trial and error.

hurpderp - crap on my bed. HAHA. the bag on the left is the one I've been using on and off, between the wanna-be Hnaoto bag I made. Its a decent sized but my wallet and 'makeup' pouch eats up alot of the room in the bag and I cant exactly shove the book in there /:

the last time I shot raw was a year ago, omg sad ):

the result was ok but it ate up a lot of room in my camera and I ended up having to delete some photos on the spot ;A; or transfer it to a friends laptop since I didnt bring a laptop with me to AX. And due to my cameras ISO level not being so legit, I ended up with a lot of noise in the photos.

I'm hesitant to buy another COMPACT Flash for my camera because I plan on gettinga new camera soon enough and hoping the next one I get relies on SD Cards since I have plenty of that ):

next shoot I have planned is in Febuary and hoping another one when the cherry blossoms are in bloom 8D which is going to be a Vocaloid one. Wow, I havent done an onlocation shoot in so long. I'm pretty stoked about it. I need to make the costumes and solidify plans with my friends and keep an eye on the weather.

I'll attempt to shoot raw there then *u* I'm excited. I'll bring my laptop with me incase I have to unload photos into my hard drive while on location too :o

crappy short updates /: yeah...so ALA is coming near and I am amazing at procrastinating. I put the PRO in procrastination. I have a whole costume to sew but clearly have not lifted a finger to do it and I still gotta finish the last bits of Ash's costume LOOOOL fail. but yeah. Xmas post :o

Heres my Xmas fall~ missing a few things but for the most part these are the cool things I got *u*

I got a new cooling fan for my laptop so I can play DFO without having to worry about overheating and /finally/ and I mean FINALLY a damn USB hub so I dont have to unplug and replug shit just to get my camera plugged in and still keep my external keyboard and mouse loool

Went to see THE GIRL WITH THE DRAGON TATTOO US movie over the weekend. Amazing. Loved loved loved the opening sequence it made me squeel. I really enjoyed the movie, the cinamtography, its definitely not as RAW as the swedish version but I felt it was more true to the book versus how it was in the Swedish one. And the ending seemed to have continued on more...leading us more to beyond just the case and clearly leaves us asking for more. I wont spoil much - clearly. But I went to Book OFf to pick up the 2nd part of the book since its sold out at most Barnes & Nobles :o luckily Book Off had a set of em, I guess their trying to collect them since its pretty much a popular demand. And sadly. Twilight is ALSO still in demand =_=ll why.

Got2be volumizing powder. Now this got my brain tinkering LOLz. I was complaining to Toshi about my hair being flat. I've probably have them all- volumizing spay, hair sprays, etc. but alot of the volumizing sprays sadly dont work as well on DRY Hair, they usually ask that you do it on DAMP hair...but considering my hair is RED and I dont wash it enough, I'd prefer to use a product on DRY hair, dry shampoo from SUAVE gives me that volume I need but not a staying power. Thats where Got2Be freeze spray comes in but I was a sucker for trying something new. So we shall see how this works. :o

it says to rub it inbetween your hands and run it thru your hair or simply slap some on your roots.....

And with the new Maybelline lip butter series coming out and been clearly sold out at most CVS I think WetnWild was not going to be left behind. So they came out with their own tinted lip balms with SPF. Maybelline one offered SPF20 vs the Wet n Wild ones that offered 15SPF.

I have butchered my blistex to death and was looking for something new, I LOVED the EOS lip balms but their circular shape just isnt pocket friendly. So giving this one a shot.

The color is very sheer which is fine by me since I'm not a big lip color person. I tried the whole 'I wanna do nude lips' thing...LOL that only worked for like...how long? hahaha

roflmao. Or so I've been told. no really. people kept joking I was an insane monster the entire time in Vegas. Considering I drove up after work..xD...

I was suppose to get off at 8pm that night but as always every friday, that doesnt happen.And I got off at 830isn and I didnt start driving out of SD till closer to 9 since we had to run a few errands.

Driving up there was a BEAST the winds were insane LOL I can feel my tiny car move while driving thru the 15! AHAHAH I think we arrived closer to 2am....and when I finally got there I was so excited to run around but that didnt happen Q_Q....we stayed in the Riviera which was totally not at the strip and I was sad to learn that the Sahara closed down. whut why?! ):

I have not been to Vegas in 10 years and now I'm finally *old* enough to go and enjoy myself LMAO...sad to say...I wasnt that adventrous in my stay. Considering I was there on a Family trip. LOLz....and didnt really have people my age to go with. Other than my brothers gf but yeaaaaaaaaah no....

So I pretty much played tourist the entire weekend *u* hahaha. The goal was to see The Venitian! WHICH I DID OMFGGG LAWWWWWWL. PHOTO SPAM GOO!!! I also took some videos while I was there using a pretty shitty vivitar dvr 410 cam corder that I scored for $20 during Black Friday. And I knew it was crappy but wow my iPhone takes better video than that shit ahahaha.....so if anyone is ever looking at getting one.Well, heres some samples of how the quality looks....orz. its not the best...but seriously, its like super shitty and it doesnt capture the frames fast enough even if it says it does. This is also in the highest setting. Oh well, all these videos are mostly for fun and to show Toshi coz she is just as excited as I am to see the Venetian....

I really wanted to see the Phantom of the Opera but we were only there for a day and a half and tickets were like $60+....so...alas, hopefully next time I go to Vegas I can go see it /:

so pretty much walked around the shops and watched people ride the little boats around the place. Sad. I thought that the boats run all the way outside LOL since you can see water all around but I guess noooott ): I wonder if they run them outside too and was just probably too cold/windy to have people outside...so we just watched them go from one end of the chanal to the other. And the boaters/their drivers since too! LOL and the way the place is build - in a dome like shape creates pretty good acoustics. Some dude totally proposed to his Fiance just before they went under the bridge. Durpdurpdurp.

Went inside a body shop while I was there and they had a pretty sweet deal on their bath bombs. 7 for $20. I got some for my mom and I got myself one I dont know when I'll use it yet but its definitely one of those treats you treat yourself to LOL. I know Lush carries em too. O_O oooh hahaha

BUT OH! LOL. before we went to the strip, we had lunch with my family (we had a party of 30. Damn Asians LOLz) at some place in China Town...their biggest party room wasnt even enough to accommodate us orz then on my way to the strip I stopped by a costume store LOL. We were really hoping to find some cool stuff to use for Assassins Creed and I was just there to derp arund coz you never know what you can find at a costume store LOLz. and I guess we were really hoping to find something epic because, well. hello, you're in VEGAS!

Instead. We found the same old same old trashy sexy costumes from Leg Avenue and walking thru the isles I actually stumbled upon some HIGHER end costumes where the constructions were definitely alot better 8D /yay im impressed lol. The red renaissance pirate ish one was my favorite. I kept zooming at it because I secretly have plans on taking the same idea some day LMAO.

Also came thru a wall of Aqua Color and Kryolin Makeup. O_O and of course...a wall of shoes. LMAO.

and a wall of petticoats. I want one LMAO... did not take any still photos except for the masks /:

After walking around and looking at expensive shots at the Venetian we stumbled upon a creepe shop with totally bland flavors and over priced crepes! LOL. I came there for the wall of Gelato tbh! LMAO. HELLOOO GREEN APPLE GELATO! :o

Went gambling on the slots. Max bet I did was $7. Some dude offered me a free pass for Club Tao and a few others but I didnt go orz. sad.

I also got some people try and offer me a sweet deal for Madame Tussan's wax museum coz the girl that spotted me said I reminded her of someone from Nana *u* hurhurhur. All that leopard print and she spotted my 'R' necklace LOLz. WIN! hahaha.

People were pretty friendly there :o so many people were commenting on my hair and style. Um..o-o yay?...

Oh Heiiii vaiiinnnnn myselffff...when I had extensions. I redid my hair / roots and I guess the dye I ended up picking turned my hair a darker shade of marooon/wine red oAo than I had hoped so therefore my extensions no matchy no more. Gei. I had another pair that were blonde that I tried to dye, nope. Didnt work out so well. I need brown extensions and DYE them with the same dye I used before to get them to match orz. urgh. Cannot be arsed to spend more mony on extensions for now LMAO. So. might as well rock the short mullet hair again since I'm desperately eyeing a split wig from cosplaywigsusa! and here I thought I would /never/ buy a wig from them LMAOOO so hoping they finally update their website and restock on that brown x blonde split wig I've been so desperately eyeing!!

Lolita outfits that I wouldnt mind owning but clearly I refuse to drop that much money on lolita /: just not worth it. So much duramu there too.

I like the top one for its simplicity. Now if only the hem line was shorter HAHAHA

the only thing tho is /: its very lightly sweetened and you taste more green tea than the apple itself. tempted to just brew my own green tea and throw in some apple juice and see how that works out LMAO....

Love the packaging and design, its definitely no SexPotRevenge but with the way the $=Yen is coming out now adays, I wouldnt mind buying Mar Jour )8 and I'm not even loosing much on the quality of the design. and I mean /much/

its made of cheap pleather and I don't expect it to last long .Must be careful so it doesn't rip or tear since its not made of high quality material.

so this was on sale so I grabbed one *u*

its made of a cotton blend and it feels thick/warmish tbh because of the fabric blend. Almost fleece cotton ish.

and if anyone is worried about sizing, if you can fit into an SPR M, you can fit into Mar Jour L.

Their sizes run about I'd say a little on the 'small' side of things but again, it also depends on the article of clothing your buying.

Their skirts definitely stretch out well and can fit practically anyone.

For their tops, just be sure to pay attention to the shoulder width. Since some are made to be free of the shoulder width and etc~

Made myself a new bag coz I couldnt wait to order one from H.Naoto /: so i decided to make myself one. LOLz. Still debating if I'll pick up a messenger from H.Naoto at ALA (if I even see it there) now that I have this.

Only down side is, I dont have pockets in there or a side pocket for my cellphone. Which I originally cut out a piece for but clearly never made it to the final design HAHA....oh lard.

this is gonna be one of those random updates that I do rarely since I dont really have much to talk about anymore nor do I blog enough anymore either LOlz.

I went and finally finished the campaign mode for Modern Warfare 3 and honestly, I AM NOT disappointed! its a blockbuster movie game once again lawlz. And I played it partly tipsy too XD oh boy. been battling a hangover from Friday night and Idecided it was a smart idea to drink again last night too. And I went and wasted more time watching Black Hawk Down since I was on a gunho mode from MW3 oAo...

and I rolled out of bed at 1pm this morning, hung over slightly. NOthing a struddle, spicy chicken sandwhich and bland coffeee to make it work lolol.

Now I'm working on drafting the pattern for Ash's new costume for ALA. Which is Ky Kiske from Guilty Gear. I'd prefer for her to be Jin Kisaragi tbh but were doing a GG group for ALA not a BLazblue one. I've made a Ky costume before for Shin years ago so this shouldnt be all too hard and I've learned what I can fix from the old one 8B not to mention I'm using a nicer fabric this time. From the swap meet haul, I'm using a broad heavy satin. Vs the old fabric we used which was a double knitt cotton.

whoooo long post is long because I've been lazy lol and deciding to dump everything in one crazy long photo filled post 8DDD

so 2 things happened this month~ Comikaze and Pacific Media Expo! And for those who follow me on twitter/tumblr you guys know I've been busy trying to get ready for PMX's masq!! And well long story short. We won Judges Award!!!!! 8DDD eeeeeeeee and won free passes to Anime Los Angeles. Which I doubt I will be cosplaying in at all since I didnt get to take ANY Photos at all at PMX ;_;...

but I will be working on some cosplays for Ash and Nick >8DDDD

and so, lets move on for now.

Comikaze was a last min decision, the admission was dirt cheap $12 for 1-day and Mark Hamill and Stan Lee were both going to be there as well as Elvira! :o oooh.

The event was held at a PARKING LOT inside the Los Angeles Convention Center. Lol. oh whut?! hahaha the turn out was pretty decent for a first time con with so many guests and so many people. Well, it felt like it had a pretty good turn out 8D.

The Body Shop had a sale going on /: Buy 1 get 1 half off. Or buy 2 items get 1 free.

My face has not been very happy with me. Not that I've really taken as good a care of it from the very beginning u_u yay acne scars and etc. That you cannot see from the mounts of makeup I wear to cover it up LOLz.

but recent discovery made me realize I need to really try to take better care. I'm not getting any younger LMAo and with recent weather changes, I know my skin is gonna go insane again LOL. Yay retarded combo skin )8<

So I went to the Body Shop to try some items since I wasnt ready to commit to high end products like Sephora carries or Clinique and was worried about wearing MORE heavy stuff on my face D8< when I already wear a bad combo of makeup daily LOLz....

Read some reviews on the Tea Tree Oil line so I decided to pick up 2 items from the line.

One that helps clear blemishes and control oil! Which would work for a daily moisturizer since I've noticed that I get acne flare ups every once in a while and enough is enoughhh

their not as bad as when I was younger but still! D8<

and the other is a nightly moisturizer/lotion you wear to help fade the old scars and prevent new ones from forming.

And last,y I got a free item which is their so well known Vitamin E moisturizer.

So we'll see how this goes! )8< since I'm not SUPER big into skin care LOL which I honestly should be considering I'm a stylist hahahaha....orz

maybe this would help me cut down on the amount of shit I slap on my face on the daily LMAO...and also considering I just go to work and no where else orz HAHAHA

instead of foundation + powder + concealer, maybe we can cut it down to just moisturizer (to help control the redness and oil T zone) and just mineral powder lawwwl......and I dont even use a heavy foundation on most days, I try to switch inbetween BB Cream and the now discontinued line from Maybelline's Pure Makeup. Sad that its been discontinued. I liked the fact that it was 50% water which gave it a pretty COOLING feeling but it did give a pretty light to medium coverage, which is OK for the most part since it was my 'every day' wear foundation. I kept the MAC for heavier days when I got places to go other than work LOLz....

but yes, we shall see how well this goes since I've read some decent reviews from it! :o

and I'm still waiting for a few items I ordered with my friend from SASA.com! I shall be receiving them when I meet her at PMX!

Rohto Lycee Eye Drops~ I did a small review for these over at my Tumblr page but I guess I'll talk about them a bit more here. They come in 2 different types.

1. For regular wear

2. For contacts.

I originally purchased the ones the contacts from a store in Irvine Mall. They retail for about $9-15. 15 being the most (and it includes tax, granted Tax in CA is pretty high orz)

Comes in a super nifty bottle, sparkly top~ and is super refreshing and minty.

Some people who first use it might be shock that they are MINTY AND ALMOST FEELS STINGY

when you first try it but you will gradually get used to it and it does have a fresh lycee feel /smell to it after you drop it HAHA.

Bottle is pretty tiny in comparison to how big the box it comes in. Theres a selca photo of myself with the Tsubasa Bambi Grey lenses and the rohto drops for size comparison. Since some people might think they are pretty big LOL.

But I DO know that they come in BIGGER containers, but in a more bottled form.... not in the cute diamond shape.

Really refreshing and I like to use it before I wear my contacts in the morning if I'm not 'awake' enough to stab my eyes with em and after if I feel my eyes need that extra ump for hydration. Or just if I want to wake up LOLz....

My first try at SONIC! I went to the one in Santa Ana after my Dentist appointment. I know in San Diego we have but its in Santee which is a bit of a drive from where I'm located /:

S'mores marshmallow cupcakes with marshmallow goop ontop for icing. Graham cracker and chocolate shavings ontop. On some of them, I actually baked a piece of Chocolate inside. It didnt melt as well as I wanted.

I think I want to try using Nutella inside next time and probably bake crumbs of Graham Cracker in it for crunch. Or simply use toffee chips?? LOL but I dont think that might consider it S'more cupcakes anymore hahaha. Made these for my friends birthday party too.

I'm not a big s'more fan to be honest, so I ate mine plain. I also got good feedback from my friends that the marshmallow ontop was just a bit too much. Maybe I should have used regular icing or just go without since the cupcake base is already marshmallow???.....

We'll see! 8D I gotta keep experimenting~someday I can open my own shop. Among other things orz

new ring!!! I've been eyeing a skull hand type ring for so long and I finally caved in and ordered one from ebay~ this one is from Korea and I'm so suprised at how well the quality is. I believe I paid about $8-13???....it wasnt that much tbh. And thats with shipping already!

Normally I keep thinking cheapy rings like these are, well, the super cheap ones that turn brassy as soon as it hits water! and I have sweaty palms normally )8 and I've had this for over a week and wore it everyday. And so far so good! :o

uwaaaahhh my new rosary necklace and new leopard scarf. I had a leopardpajmina before but lost it! D8< I really dont know what happened to it and with winter coming up, I dont wanna go on another winter without my signature leopard item. So I got this off ebay for $8. The original one I had before I believe I paid just about $10 or so too from Tuesday Morning. Total random find at that shop too LOLz

preeeeeppppp toppp from Forever 21. Shopping at F21 has always always always been such a hit or miss with me )8< and I had to walk back and forth from this top several times before caving in to getting it lol. I havent gone 'shopping' for a article of clothing in so long. I went to the mall last week and came out super disappointed since I just dont like alot of items. I'm still waiting for most brands to come out with their winter line (as if I even have the money to drop on SPR right now LOL but still)

but in the end I ended up picking this one up, It was just about $23 after taxes. NOT BAD. And its NOT BLACK its actually navy blue lawlz. I need something other than black in my wardrobe I guess LAWLZ and might inspire me to dry and be more dressy vs tank top and jeans orz

Another semi-productive weekend (yes I'm sorry I slept in again and didnt get to start my morning till late afternoon again roflmao!!!)

This week, I was hoping to make Lavender and Rose cupcakes but unfortunately the store I normally frequent to get my baking goods apparently dont carry them anymore )8 so I opted to get Marshmallow and Eggnog...why not?...lolz...

Here are some marshmallow cupcakes....you can tell me and my little brother went alittle over board with the food coloring. Hahahaha!!!!

I just ordered some reg brown nudy lenses

I ordered these babies on Wednesday night and I received my lenses Saturday morning! (today)
WOOOOW talk about fast shipping and they DO carry prescription lenses
and plenty of plano and special order lenses.
I was eager to find a US based seller and I def. found it in them!
Since I hate waiting for my lenses to come in ROFLMAO....
well, if its for cosplay its ok.
but I got these for my 'regular every day'
lenses since my lenses that I own are TOO big or TOO bold in color?..
hahaha I have Blue Nudy lenses but I dont feel comfortable
wearing them to work....Q_Q
So hopefully these will do the trick since I dont like wearing my glasses for long
since my fails gets oily (sorry, so nasty) and it makes my glasses slip and slide
D8< grossss

heres what they look like in bathroom lighting.
I havent taken them outside. I normally have pretty dark brown eyes.
their not as bright as I thought they would be.
which in a way is kind of a relief?...coz then I can get away with wearing them to work
the only other brown lenses I tried were the angel browns
which were also as equally comfortable and the black rim is more prominent
versus the nudy series. And I like that the Nudy series is more a dewy tear look to it?...
sometimes I kinda wish the brown is more pronounced but its ok. These are more subtle
haha and the enlargement is Ok. I'm used to wearing bigger lenses now haha.

but I kinda want to try the EOS Adult Browns next O_O
the design seems pretty plain and boring in my opinion but I've seen alot of
people wear them. So I might as well give it a shot too and see how much the difference is between the
nudy and the EOS adult browns.

Now onto other things! :O this weekend is suppose to be a productive one and so far so good! I made cupcakes today lmao and I'm looking if I want to order lavender and Rose extracts roflmao~
I also got some glitter puff paint to get working on Esther lawlz...I really need to order my rhinestones and wig lawl and stop ordering misc. items. I ordered some several accessories the other day too out of impulse. I just gotta give it 2 weeks for it to come to me~ hahaha

I worked on my new Gundam too~ the Wing Custom Zero

the gundam came with a mini figure of Hero but like I said I wont be arsed to paint it coz..just no )8 not a big fan of him....

and I really need to get a grey gundam marker and top coat again.

and last night I tried making a ghetto light box hahahaha! Out of a box and white construction paper and a bright lamp. few things I learned from this experience…

lOL. 2 lamps are better than one, To help eliminate shadows but of course photoshop can fix that /:

Secondly….I tried the fabric trick too, It didnt work out too well! hahaha It works better when the fabric is hanging off something and clearly when its ironed/steamed out…

I’m going to try using presentation boards with the white poster papers I got, might turn out better and saves me room since I can break it down and put it away when I’m done with it.

their ok for something that comes frozen! the serving sizes is pretty ok, I've had bigger ones LMAO. their probably the size of a Mochi /:

just let them sit out for a few mins to thaw out before biting into it. The cookie part has a good crust to it and has a nice soft chewy center, but biting into the filling I can taste a layer of sugar. Which I wish it didn't have )8
but meh, cant complain. its $4 for a box of 12. Versus going to a bakery which retails for almost $14+ for a box of dozen. But yes I wont give up on attempting to make my own! I just need to find a pocket heater since I'm afraid now that its cooler, there would be too much moisture in the air that it wouldnt make my macarons correct Q_Q...
I wouldn't want to have to waste batch after batch when almond flour is not cheap! but I did find Almond MILL at Trader Joe for about $4-5...I'm sure theres a tutorial out there some where on how to make ur own almond flour using the almond mill....

I swear by Dry Shampoo. Shit has saved me so much time and dye on trying to retouch my color, Its been weeks since I’ve gone red and my hair color is still pretty vibrant! I havent done a retouch yet! :DDDD

The Gazette VORTEX

Late as always! (This is also my sad attempt at posting more regularly LOLz)

So Gazette released a new single I believe at the end of August? but me being the dumbass that I am was left under the rock and wasn't keeping up much with music. I've been a HUGE Gazette fan before but since the release of Filth In the beauty, most of their music has been a hit or miss with me. Most requiring a few listens to let the music grow into you.
My fav. after the Filth in the Beauty era is Leech and Distress & Coma shortly follows after....

So ever since then I've been like 'w/e' washy with their music since. I know their always trying to evolve and experiment with music - like MOST bands and they SHOULD be. But obviously you cannot appease everyone. I'm not one of those DIE HARD The Gazette Fans. I do believe NO ONE is perfect. LOL. So with that being said~ dundundun....

Onto VORTEX. They released it with 3 tracks:

1.	VORTEX
2.	UNCERTAIN SENSE
3.	BREAK ME

My overall opinion with this Single CD is, I LIKE IT :o

Its got interest flares and rhythms in em, guitar riffss and your fair share of Ruki's screetchings which is pretty prominent in /every/ Gazette single. it wouldnt be VI-GEI without it. LOL...
(I feel really bad saying that but its true /: this is how I felt the entire time I was at the Sadie concert in Am2 lolz. But dont get me wrong, I still enjoy the music hahaha)

lets start with Track 1 - Vortex

I feel like it starts with a very 'classic jrock/vigei guitar riff' that I feel like I've heard one too many times in older jrock songs (and I mean late 90s early 00s....closer to 2000s)

this is supposedly the newest single they released but to be honest, in my opinion I felt like it was the weaker songs out of the other 3 in the single.

its a very typical song, not too strong, nothing really about it stands out to me. I feel there were more screaming than singing, almost reminds me of a Sadie song lol. but I figure they released this as their 'main single' since its got the balance of scream and guitar riffs - a typical recipe for a typical jrock single?...

I dont love it, I dont hate it. Dont take my word for it. This is just my opinion. Some people are more particular about their music.

Track 2 Uncertain Sense

This might rank as my 2nd fav. out of this single. Starts with a another guitar riff and a strong bass in the background. This song is pretty trippy to listen to when you have some bomb headphones.

Track 3 BREAK ME

this is probably my favorite out of the entire single, mostly because I love the opening! HAHAHA
starts with the thumping of the drums and onto the guitar opening, it almost reminds me of an 80s falvored song hahaha and as a 80s glam rock fan, this def appeals to my taste just a bit more.
I'm not too big on the chorus as it repeats 'break me' way too much lawl?....
could have had a better chorus XD oh ruki~ lol.

Lol, not going to lie~ Dungeon Fighter is still eating up my life oAo;; and well thats definitely nothing something worth bragging about to be honest..ROFLMAO...then of course my friends convince me to dress up for PMX LOL instead of something gaudy and obnoxiously lolita or vigei....I got convinced to bring out my old Trinity Blood cosplay :o which I did years ago and never wore. LMAo so its time to redo it. I'm gonna be ordering a new wig (even if my hair IS red lmao its not thick enough!! or long enough ish) XD and yeaaah...and I'll also be ordering a crap load of rhinestones via ebay (whooo china~) and glueing the crap out of it into the dress and I also need to get more laces! MORE LACES and add it onto the dress. I realized my Esther dress needs more jewelry and laces and jems! LOL. So I'm also ordering strings of pearls and redoing pieces of the outfit )8 and I also need to fix as much of Seth as possible so my friend can borrow it. Whoo~ and also Ion! waah hahahaha.
oh man, I kinda miss this rush lol...but not really. I would much rather level up my battle mage and nen master XD /epicfail.

But anyways heres some reviews of some drug store make up. Not the best photography /: lol, but the purpose here is to tell you how good they are not how photogenic they look. Lol.
First up! HIP Duo Maude MATTE Shadow

Now I remember when these shadows first came out a couple years ago they were going for almost $13 (wow! thats the price of a MAC shadow /: and you probably get more from mac but its only a single pot. vs this which is duo....but yeah) but has since dropped prices to $6-9. Depending on where you got them. I got these at Target and retailed for about $6~7...

the Hip shadows are HIGHLY pigmented and comes in 3 finishes; matte, shimmer and metallic.
They go on SUPER SMOOTH and their applicator is a small sponge one and its not all that terrible. I like to say that the HIP is definitely considered a 'higher end' drug store brand considering the price point they are at /:
and to be honest, their products are pretty good - the only thing I really dont like is their cream liner - it dries too quickly. The best go to cream liner is definetely from Maybelline! 8D
that thing has lasted us through cons, sweat and alcohol LMAO!
but yeah thats beside the point.

Total soft, pigmented shadows. This particular one is Maude Taupe coloreda and a darker brown.

The only thing I gotta note though is for the taupe color - as you can see from my swatch, its pretty light or close to my actual skin tone. To some people who are probably more fair skined it might show up better but when I use it as an over all wash it gives my lids a very fresh clean palette and I use the darker brown on my crease and blend.
Staying power is pretty good, lasted me a good 8+ hours (though I must note I wear primer to help keep lasting it longer)

The only thing I gotta say about this is - it doesnt come with a highlighter color so I always end up having to dig into my other pallets to get a highlighter for my brows. Other than that, super good shadow and I've always been a fan of the Hip line.

MOVING ON....

next up is the ELF shadow. I picked this up on whim and it was $1. Score~
and I gotta say. THESE BABIES ARE SUPER PIGMENTED :O FOR THE PRICE. IM LIKE. WHUT?!

this is without primer too.

Though the pallettes are super soft so the only thing I gotta say is - do expect fall out. Their super soft but super pigmented.
As far as longivity goes, I havent worn them long enough to judge how long or how well they last on your lids but I CAN say that the colors are pretty true to the swatch. And nothing lasts forever so I wouldnt expect much.

Packaging is ok, you cant expect much from a product thats sold for a $1. Way better than L.A COLOR to be honest! And its small and compact and goes anywhere with you. lol.

and in other news, I got new keychains added onto my key ring. Tokidoki Thor one was given to me by a friend recently. O_O I wish my iPhone was able to have phone straps on it, alas. They shall remain on my keys instead.

Lol, hords of Starbucks coffee cups in my cup board at work Lol. I try not to get Starbucks frequently because they cost an arm and a leg for something I can make at homeLOL. Yes, complete with my own carmel sauce and everything roflmao. But I cannot deny the clean packaging and reusable cups. Especially when theres never always cups at the water cooler =__=.... and you really should avoid drinking things with acids in them since they do ruin the enamel in your teeth and stain them as well. O_O

haha with that being said, I got myself a little gift today. I caved in and got a real tumbler cup thingie. This one I can leave at home or fill it with Ice Coffee for my morning rush to work. Haha. I think I deserve a little treat to myself for being good and keeping on track with this weight loss progres thingie. I could honestly be doing much better but I wont lie. LMAO. I 'd muchrather be trying to level up my Nen master and battle mage but life doesnt stop just coz you want to play games XD!!

Red hair of any shade is definitely always a show stopper. It beckons for attention and definitely captures a room when you enter it. When you see someone walking by with red hair you simply cant stop but look and pay attention to them! Even for a split second!
Red hair is definitely a fun fun color! And personally I believe its a very complimentary color on any skin tone! :o And it comes in so many different shades so you're guaranteed to find a GOOD RED on you!

BUT! BEFORE YOU DECIDE TO RUN OUT TO THE NEAREST DRUG STORE AND PICK YOURSELF UP A BOTTLE OF RED HAIR DYE. THERE ARE A FEW THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW!!
1. RED HAIR FADES THE FASTEST!!! AND IT DEF. TAKES TIME AND DEDICATION TO KEEP YOUR VIBRANT LOCKS AS FIREY AS POSSIBLE.
2. It will NOT show up on black hair unless you use a highlift color and even still, sometimes you're not garaunteed a very vibrant color. Alot of different things can go into this...hormones. hair structure. virgin vs dyed hair...etc etc etc..

I've been dying my hair red on and off for almost 10 yrs? or so?...my first ever dye job was a burgundy red my mom tried on me when I was on 2nd grade XD...needless to say it didnt fly very well since I went to an All Girls Catholic school then. Hurpderp! but it was only the back bottom side of my hair but still! LOL! I've been burgundy to the brightest fire engine red to even shades of pinkish red.

Heres a few rundown of red hair colors I've had in the pass that I am still able to dig up photos of O_O....if I find anymore, I'll definetly try and post them up?...hahaha....And all of these dye jobs were achieved many different ways and using different products. I'll try and briefly talk about each one to kind of give you an idea of the shades or how I achieve them?

the first 2 photos: this was over bleached hair. I have naturally
BLACK hair and I bleached it using vol.40 + bleach
(you can refer to my 'bleaching hair FAQs for Q&A)
and I used SLAT hair dye on the very top one
and on the 2nd photo I used MANIC PANIC Pill Box Red.

WARNING: VEGGIE BASED DYES CAN AND WILL STAIN
YOUR BATHROOM, PILLOW CASES AND ETC IF NOT WASHED OUT PROPERLY
And even when you DID wash it properly
theres still chances that it will stain some items :B...
I think this all depends on how bleached out your hair is and how much
of the dye will hold on your hair.

Always handle with gloves! And keep bleach or bathroom spray handy to spray your bath tub down!

Used L'oriel Feria in Ruby Rush + a hint of SPLAT Cherry Dye mixed
in to add the extra umf of red. Over BLEACHED hair.

This one is my most recent adventures with red.
This is with L'oriel Feria Rush Rush once again over
Blonde x Brown hair.
Only my front bangs were bleached blonde while the rest of my hair was a
medium to light brown....

I do want to stress that you cannot achieve this vibrant red color OVER BLACK HAIR without having to prelighten it to atleast a brownish shade or use a high lift color. I dont like to use high lift colors exactly over black hair (unless its virgin hair) simply because I feel that the colors arent as exact or accurate. Its better to be safe than sorry? by pre-bleaching. Haha I know hu? Double process, whats safer about that?! Well, atleast you know you're getting exactly what you're looking for! especially if you're doing this at home and are unfamiliar with High Lift colors too!

To achieve my latest hair color I used this box dye:

I wont go into detail about how the process work. LOL. its pretty simple~ that and while I was typing all that up earlier firefox decided to die on me and I don't think its really worth writing it up again when its pretty straight forward :o

Now lets talk about products and maintenance! (or mostly products and ways you can do to help maintain your vibrant fierce red hair!!!)

So its basically a no brainer that Red hair fades the fastest! But, like I said, there are ways you can do to help maintain you're red hair longer!

heres my routine for keeping my red hair 8D!

I only wash my hair (as in wet it + shampoo & condition) about only 2-3 times a week. EEK! Yes! Sometimes when I DO have to wet my hair, I use a red hair safe shampoo or color friendly shampoo.

The shampoo and conditioner I use is the John Freida Red one 8B and every so often I have a small bottle of white conditioner where in I put a spoon or two of RED dye in it to kinda just help redeposit color in as I condition my hair.

In between days when I'm not shampooing my hair, I use DRY SHAMPOO. I've heard of this before but it was only recently that I've decided to pick myself a bottle! Tresamme, Suave Professional AND Got2Be now makes Dry Shampoos and are easily accessible to the general public - your local drug store carries them in their hair care line.
How it works? You spray it in your hair in sections as close to the roots as possible and just let it sit for a few mins - see directions per bottle. And brush it away~

For brushing it away I like to use a tight bristled brush like a GROOMING BRUSH (which looks awefully close to a teasing brush! but the teasing brush is thinner. See images below) And if you do not have a tight brittle brush, you can go ahead and use a rat tail comb since its pretty tight together that it helps brush out all that oil from your hair.

bristles perfect for teasing or back comnbing your hair into

a volumized mess! HAHAHA

And the good thing about DRY SHAMPOO is, it adds volume to your hair! :D win-win situation! The one I'm currently using is the Suave Professional one. I got it since it was on sale at my CVS I was originally going to try out the Tresamme one or the Got2Be brand (since I swear by their hair spray!!!) So far so good its working out just fine for me.

Secondly, you know your hair WILL fade! I usually like to retouch my color every 2 weeks using
a deposit only VEGGIE based dye like Manic Panic or Special Effects. My go to is manic panic VAMPIRE RED. I leave it on for a few mins and rinse out - and tada! Red hair again, now this is only a deposit only color so it just refreshes your shade. Once every 2-3 months or so I like to use a box dye with peroxide to retouch my color and roots.

Roots: since my roots are BLACK, I like to do 2 mixtures. One with vol. 40 to help lift and deposit the color to my roots without having to pre-bleach my roots. If you're not too familiar with the different levels of peroxide just refer to my post on bleaching hair and peroxide levels~
And I use vol. 10-20 for the rest of my hair with the red dye of my choice.
But of course you dont NEED to use box dye or dye + developer, you can just simply keep using the veggie dyes - but keep in mind you WILL need to prelighten your hair and expect your color to fade faster when using deposit only veggie dye.

And please! Remember! Anytime you apply heat or go out in the sun you're hair is susceptible to heat damage and everytime heat is applied to your hair it opens up the hair shaft allowing color pigments to fade and go bye bye~ so please remember to use thermal spray to protect your locks. I use to go to the extreme and even go as far as using color friendly hair spray XD! But that was when I had blues and reds in my hair and was using the deposit only dyes and I was THAT paranoid in keeping my hair as fire engine red as possible. LOL

Sad to say but having high maintenance hair definitely can be costly with all the products you'll be using/needing...but all this is optional! You dont HAVE to do all this or use all this. Sometimes its just fun to throw a bit of color in your hair.

And normally when you let your red hair fade, it can go one or two ways~
it'll fade to a brown shade (if your in the ruby shades) or more of a pinkish-orange tone - strawberry blondeish if your hair is prelightened and you used a lighter shade of red~

I personally have always preferred to be in the more dynamic ranges of red from vibrant ruby reds to something as insane as traffic light red/stop sign red! HAHAHAHA

massive black out! impuslive Sea World trip! :O

lol, so pretty much if you did not live south of Orange County So-Cal to the Border you wouldn't have known about the massive black out us So-Cal folks experienced Thursday afternoon till early Friday morning! AHAHAHA.
I was driving back to the office during my lunch break after dropping off my roomie/co-worker back at the condo and noticed that alot of the streets lights were out and the power went out at Target while I was shopping for lunch too! LOL. I honestly didnt think much of it since our block gets black outs quite often. But as I was driving back to work I went, WTF a lot of the lights are off?!....
I tried to call my co-workers to ask if power went out completely in our area. And I got several texts from people asking if power was out in our area as well! So I guess that pretty much hit it that power was indeed out in more areas in San Diego than just one! lol.

I walked back into our office - after walking through a super dark hallway and stumbling around to find the door to our office suite. Most of my co-workers were pretty much freaking out coz of the black out. my dumbass on the other hand was used to massive black outs coming from a 3rd world country XD where this shit happens quite often. Its just really annoying /:
Walked out and walked to the other office building to wait it out hoping that the power would come back on. Derped around for about an hour trying to figure out what to do about all the calls and work that needed to be done...then we kept getting random updates from people that the black out was spreading everywhere! Ooooh boy. I eventually left work at 5:40 and made the glorious drive home through traffic and mass hysteria. lol. Yes. No lie. everyone was rushing to get home despite the fact that the lights wasnt on. Some people seriously are not made to drive /:
People were all over Vons - since Vons had a power generator that could run atleast 3 registers at the most. People were buying ice and supplies as if this was a zombie apocalypse or something hahaha! Oh man. So many people were buying cases and cases of water and bread and canned goods. I honestly doubted that the power could go out for days! but these people were stoking up like it was.... /:

When night fell people started coming over to our condo since we busted out the grill and just started grilling meat LOL so it wouldnt go bad. And pretty much had a mini picnic outside our condo LOL...And played Monopoly in the dark but thankfully the power came back on at 2 am that night. Joy. Part of me was hoping it wouldnt so we didnt have to go to work and deal with the madness but part of me did want the power back LOL since 3G was down and my phhone needed to be charged. Soon. HAHA.
I will definitely be investing in a solar charger from strapya after this and a car charger for my phone lol!!!

Wish could have taken pictures but alas everything would have been too dark to do anything! LMAO!

Today was my companys picnic as well. But no one wants to really hear about that O_O....
stayed there for about 2 and half hours or so before running away to SEA WORLD LMAO!!! I've lived in SD for almost 10 yrs but I wont lie when I say the last time I went to Sea World was before I even moved to the US....lawl..how sad.

hello crappy cellphone pics~First ride we went on was Journey to Atlantis. I wont lie lmao Roller Coasters or anything with drops are definitely my weakness - in a bad way LMAO. I cant deal with big drops but I decided 'you need to try everything once atleast right?' and I was looking at the ride the drop didnt seem THAT huge. Of course thats what it ALWAYS looks like before you board it and when you're finally on it you start freaking out LMAO. but of course that didnt happen. I prefer to internalize my agony lmao. the chicks behind us was a funny group of black girls who made the funniest commentaries. EVER. LMAO!!!

But so yeah heres the crazy weird thing about this ride, you see that water splash in the photo?...well. THATS THE FIRST THING THAT HAPPENS ON THE FUCKING RIDE. WHUT?! yes. Normally you expect that to come at the END of the ride right?! no!
thats the first thing you experience fresh from taking your seat!!!! And from there it rotates you around this water raft into a small cave thingie that plays a really......cheesy animation of Shamu?..../: wtf. lol. yes. And it turns out its actually an ELEVATOR lmao. That takes you back up and you up to circle around the building and comes down to a drop that curves in and there. End of ride. /: lol. super fast and quick. Kinda reminds of the Matahorn ride in Disneyland in Anaheim but....less epic?...lmao....

Short update is short. Kinda tired from lack of sleep the last few days and I was pushing to level up a bit more on Dungeon Fighters tonight. I was hoping to go to the bakery tomorrow to pick up Lavender and Rose extracts to make lavender cupcakes/cookies. But apparently the store is closed on Sundays )8 boo....so I guess I'll have to wait next weekend when I have time to run over there Q_Q....next week should also be the street fair ): dammit. I've gone back and forth from being a red hair for years and years and with each year I find another way to help maintain that rich ruby color :3 since I hate the subtle red color. I like firey red red red!! If it was up to me I'd have my hair that fire engine red hair I had 4-5 yrs back LMAO!....

Primers for everyday wear! Hi and Lows

Hiho~ I know I havent made much of a post lately hahaha. I guess most of my posts as of late has been talking about Gundam plastic models! Ahahaha so I guess its bound time for me to talk about another thing that I ALSO and spends loads of money on ._. which I really shouldnt lawl....
hurpderp and with convention season coming to a start come this fall, cosplayers and con go-ers are starting to re organize their makeup kits in preparation for cons and different events. Some not really wanting to break the bank but still wanting to look good - duh, who doesnt?! So, why dont we start with the basics...lmao. and I mean literrally the 'base' for keeping your eye make up lasting long without having to break your bank!

I'm going to be talking about different EYE SHADOW PRIMERS on different price points! 8D since we all know with the economy now a days a lot of people are learning to cut back on a few items that they consider luxury products and we all know women spend hords and hords of money on cosmetics on the daily! But just because something is cheap doesnt mean you have to sacrifice ALOT. These products I've tried on my own - spent my own money on it and tried them all out for sheer curiosity. So basically starting from the cheapest to the 'more pricey' ones....

I'm making this post also because a lot of people have asked me about the product I mostly use everyday versus my go to products when were at a convention, concert or photoshoot setting...To be honest, I bring a lot of these products that I use everyday to shoots/concerts and cons with me. Depending on what the event is demanding, clearly I'd pick different primers and etc...

First up! ELF (Eyes.Lips.Face) Eye Primer! This baby sells for $1 and can be found at your local Target now or you can purchase them via ELF's website, and I do know that 'styles for less' carries ELF and LA Color products now too but I'm not too sure how extensively they carry ELF products....

Now onto the product!
Texture: The first thing I did notice with this product was when I first opened it that it IS quite runny. It wasnt as creamy or 'mousy' in consistency that I had hoped for and it came in a lighter beige color in comparison to other primers I've tried but that doesn't mean I have to already give this a bad rep!

It felt more like...butter o_O...smooth and somewhat milky/liquidy but applies on clear or blends with your lid color anyway. So dont even worry about the color.

Packaging: I cant say I'm a big fan of this type of packaging. With the whole wand applicator thing and bottle, as I feel like theres always wasted product in packaging like these since theres only so much dept the wand can reach to retrieve the product. And it comes in a glass acrylic? container so its not like I can just cut it open or break it open... lol....
but honestly, you're not gonna really miss out much considering its only $1 >8D so its really not worth the battle trying to grab every last drop of it XD....

Staying Power: As far as creasing and staying power goes. I've worn this for a regular 8 hr work shift and I can say its done its job.

As far as color saturation and bright ness goes....well thats a whole 'nother story. Coz honestly, color vibrancy is the last thing I'd be looking for from these primers, I mostly wear them to get the lasting power. Not so much as to getting the vibrant colors from them. If you want your colors to pop without breaking the bank. I suggest getting a cream gel liner or cream stick (any brand - NYX JUmbo pencils are amazing and cheap) and use a darker or lighter shade as a base and it really helps the colors pop out more. So just apply the cream base color underneath first, then your choice of eyeshadow over to get it to really pop.

Second up is the L'oriel DeCrease! Retails for about $8-9 in Walmart in CA. (prices vary depending on where you are....)

Packaging: The packaging on this can be as bad as the Urban Decay Primer Potion. I dont believe in shitty packaging. The way its made is it gets wider at the bottom and the middle gives you a skinny neck till you hit bottom. The wand is a doe tip applicator that probably doesnt even really reach all the way to the bottom or even around the edges to pick up the rest of the product so in the end you're really left with ALOT of left over product but you're wand is pretty much useless in trying to get at it. I even tried as far as picking at it with a cotton tip or a orange wood stick to pry out as much product. But in the end its really not worth it.
Its also made of acrylic plastic so its a bitch to try and break without breaking your table or tile counter hahaha!

Texture: love the texture on this one. Its not runny at all, it actually feels light and mouse-like texture. Applies on real well too. Too bad the packaging is such a buzz kill which would hinder me from even thinking of repurchasing it.

Staying Power: Again, went with it for a good 8 hr, and even took it on a trip to LA where it was blisterring hot and well, my makeup stayed in place LOL! Little creasing thats for sure hahaha. I say it does do just as well as any eye primer does. I'd say if you def have oilylids, you shouldnt expect your eye shadow to be perfect to the last 8th hour. I guess I feel like my shadow starts to wear down around hte 5th or 6th hour...but hey for a primer as cheap as this, it does the job well enough. On days when my lids arent as oily, I say it can go the whole way through, 8hr, but do expect it to break down come the 10th hour hahaha! Nothing stays on forever jeez. You shouldnt expect THAT much! hahaha

Now onto NYX Primer Eye shadow! I've reviewed this before but got dumped in a whole bunch of other entries HAHAHA. So I'm just gonna copy and paste it for the most part!

It comes in a POT! Versus the Urban Decay Primer Potion which comes with a wand and etc, a lot of people have complained that the packaging isnt very practical, which I personally agree as well
Price!!!! :D its under $15! 8DDD I think I paid $10? or $11ish after taxes.
After 8 hrs of wear, the eyeshadow still stayed without much creasing. And I used a metallic and matte eyeshadow. And normally I find the metallic shimmer shadows tend to crease faster on my lids. but yeayeah! :D
you only need a SMALL amount, a little goes a long way!
creamy soft light texture

Cons:

Comes in a pot - can be a hygiene issue since most people wouldnt wanna dip their finger into the container, but I like the pot since it caters to makeup artists. When working with clients, I'd simply use a plastic spatula, scoop up a SMALL amount and apply.

but lets go alittle bit more in dept about this product.
the texture is creamy but sometimes its hard to get it out of the pot, some people say to use your fingers, I personally use a concealer flat brush to apply the primer on.

This baby retails for about $12-14. So its alittle bit more on the price-y range. Its definitely not a primer I use on the daily since I like to reserve this and the TooFace one for when I definitely want it to last and i mean, a 18+ hr day at a convention run LMAO ontop of a concert and photoshoots to boot!!!!! So this is definitely my GO TO for Cons and Concets mostly because of the creamy consistency - its thicker and I feel like it grabs onto the shadow powders alot more and it stays on longer.

(OH WHUT THEY HAVE GLITTER?!!Y do i not own this?! XDDD)

Lastly the Two Faced Eyeshadow Primer. Sorry. No photo, so heres a stock photo for you! I lost this primer ahahaha so I wasnt able to take a photo of it /: so I googled one up real quick. Credit is on the photo itself~

Texture: This one I feel is a bit on the runny side if you dont shake the tube up prior to using or let it sit for a while. It tends to seperate itself and can come out in parts /:
ie: oil. then the product. D: uh, do not want.

This primer retails for $18-19 via Sephora. And defintely is the priciest of primers and stands along Urban Decay.

Packaging: aweosme packaging! They didnt make the same mistake as Urban Decay did with their primer potion. I LOVE tube packaging coz you can easily cut that badboy open and extract the products yourself hahaha!

Staying Power: I honestly feel like the staying power is on par with ELF - seeing as the consistency is almost the same.
And unlike the creamy NYX one, I feel like the pigments from the shadow has less to grab onto. this dries on smooth and really does give your lids a nice smooth finish.

not exactly a primer I would reach for when I expect it to last through a convention + concert. It does its job and I mostly use it for a good night out and I want my shadow to last /: or on a photoshoot set. Since you dont really expect it to last throughout the whole day seeing as when your in a shoot, your there for a couple hours then your done. Honestly, the ELF one could have done the job hahaha but theres just something about showing up to a job with 'cheap' looking product that turns alot of models off. Just sayin' hahaha.

If you dont mind dropping the $18 everytime you run out of this, by all means go ahead, but honestly for a 'every day primer' I would still swear by the ELF and the L'oriel one.
Unless of course the ELF isnt just working out for you - as like I said, not everyone has the same skin type /:

Omg where have I been again? LOL. Sad to say my life has simply been revolving around working. Making/building gundam figures and video games. I dont keep up with anime anymore since I just cant seen to find a show I can dedicate myself to. While video games on the other hand have a bit more of a gratification thing on the spot. Some sense of accomplishment no matter how much of a waste of time they really feel like...hahaha. So I decided to go ahead and try and spam you guys with food if you already dont follow me on Tumblr! HAHAHA.

This shit is sooo bad for you! Especially for me who recovered from surgery not too long ago! Hahaha

So over the 3 day weekend I was suppose to try making French Macarons. But. Unfortunately after searching high and low for Almond Flour and finally finding it at Henry's. We decided to abort the mission seeing as they were charging $10 for a TINY bag. Which you could only really get 2-3 sets out of! Uhhh...NOT WORTH IT?!!!
So me being the cheap ass Asian I am. Will rather sit here with a bag of flour and almond and dice, chop, and do what ever I can to make my OWN version of Almond Flour just to save myself alittle bit of money hahaha!

So instead. I decided to bake some obnoxious flavored cookies, but let me tell you, they are a hit >8D! I plan on making a batch before heading to a con to share with some friends later on~
Up there we have some Red Velvet cookies with white chocolate chips. Cotton Candy & Bubble Gum cookies. (Cotton candy had sprinkles baked in them and they are simply omffgggggg I need to stop eating them HAHAHA so I gave abunch of them to my little brother and his friends...lmao...) the bubble gum was def the most bizzarre flavor out of them, when you eat it you cant help but feel like you should be blowing a bubble hahahaa. So I guess I should definitely reserve the bubble gum for frosting flavoring or cupcakes if any...hahaha...

and lastly, my favorite. Strawberry cookies with white chocolate chips. They seriously taste like Strawberries n' Cream from Starbucks but in a cookie form!

Another new Gundam Figure once again hahaha....
this one is the MSN-06S Sinanju from the Unicorn Gundam Series. I ordered this product from GundamPlanet.come and have received a CAMPAIGN id ticket. *u*

This is my first order from them. And the main reason for me ordering it from Gundam Planet versus ebay or amazon again.....is that they did a point system! I guess if you purchase enough items from them and build enough points you'd be able to win something? hahahaha. Cool?....xD

I could have probably gotten it for a cheaper price elsewhere but its ok!

Communication: 5/5. they were patient and answered my questions in a very speedy timely manner!
Pricing; 4/5. I'd say their pricing is definitely fair.
Shipping & Packaging: 4/5 only reason why I gave them a 4 instead of a 5 was...I paid for USPS Priority Mail but instead my package was sent via FedEx ground. which took 3-5 days shipping. But who am I to complain considering FedEx is more expensive? xD;;;
the item arrived within the 5th business day considering itis coming all the way from their New Jersey to California.

OMG HI MOVIE REVIEW TIME :O since I know the last few entries I've had have been pretty boring to be frank /:
lawl. Unless you're into Gundams and Plastic Models at all hahaha.
So I stumbled on this movie by recommendation of Jei (jeithepeterpan.tumblr.com) some of you guys may recognize her as Queerion from Youtube! *u* that pretty sexy hot thang ;D
but yes moving on before I get super side tracked )8

this is probably my 1st Thai movie outside of Ongbak xD;;; since I guess it was just never in my radar. Well. No, thats a lie. I've seen a few Thai horror movies but not any of this sort and I will be frank. This movie is. CUTE. D8<
and I dont say that about a lot of things. I really dont. But this movie is amazing. Its romantic comedy that tackles the issues of the gender binary and tolerance. 8D

Oh boy am I such a sucker for movies like these! Especially having last seen 'Love my Life' and "Last Friends" several times, I'm defintely in the market for something else to watch that could possibly push just the tid bit of gender bender envelope and lo and behold I stumble on this :DD and I regret nothing. I've probably seen this movie twice already and I'm probably gonna go for a 3rd! Several subs of it are floating around Youtube Not exactly HiQ stuff but you know what, I take what I can get and shall not complain. At all!

So onto the movie summary! :D

Summary: Pie is a sweet girl who has moved into a new dorm where she finds out that Kim, her new roommate seems to be a tomboy. While their friendship is developing, Pie and Kim begin to wonder if the feeling they feel for one another is just an ordinary friendship...

SPOILER ALERT. AS I'M GOING TO GO AHEAD AND SHAMELESSLY TALK MORE ABOUT THE MOVIE NOW.

Ok, onto the post about the movie >8D so yeah basically the movie starts out like most typical movies I guess? Typical romantic comedy movies where the interaction between characters are introduced and its a cute funny scene. If you're familiar with most gender bender mangas or stories the first scene is quote reminiscent of that.
Pie walks out from the shower dressed in nothing but a towel assuming that her room mate IS a girl so it would be OK. To her suprise she sees KIM who is clearly an androgynous looking girl. I prefer to use the word Androgynous as suppose to the word 'Tom' or "Tomboy" as they refer to them in Asia and throughout the movie.
In Asia (dont quote me on this since it can differ) people who are referred to as Toms or Tomboys are usually girls who likes to dress and look like a boy. And are easily mistake to be 'dykes' or straight up lesbian.

What I liked about this movie is that they taught people that love doesnt have to be something about GENDER. It doesnt always have to follow the gender binary or 'whos straight, who isnt, whos gay and who isnt'. Throughout the movie Km expressed herself as a girl who simply dresses the way she does and doesn't necessarily mean shes a TOM.
and they even gave her a more feminine charm to balance her video game addiction by giving her the ability to cook, clean and even plant and grow her own veggies in the balcony. I guess to this day cooking, cleaning and all that stuff is still seen to be a pretty feminine charm. Which I find funny and ironic that Pie was the exact opposite. So I just really loved that tid bit of the movie.

So clearly in the beginning, Pie didnt want anything to have to do with Kim since Kim was a 'tom' and her mom was very old fashioned and couldnt fathom WHY would anyone dress, act or look like that. Throughout the movie even Pie's friend comments at how HANDSOME Kim was *u* but other than the way Kim dresses, there was nothing about her that made you think 'oh shes trying to be a man'. I'm not too familiar with the Thai language but the way she talked (or atleast how the translator did it) showed that she was still referring to her or addressing things in a more feminine manner, she even had a mid to high pitched voice thats still pretty feminine imho.

But yes, Pie ignored her, dodged her and didnt want to have anything to do with her - she even went as far as separating the room with a line division. Now thats just sad and annoying =___=ll its almost like 'hey, no homo so please back off'....but alas thats what she had been raised to knowing.

but throughout the movie they develop a sort of friendship that later on develops into something more....
leading Kim and Pie to both questions themselves on what this is or who they are exactly.

Kim was the first to question 'why does gender have to matter, why does the way I dress, look and act matter? cant I just fall in love with someone because of who they are or because of who I am on the inside?"
that was simply priceless. Pie on the other hand wasnt as quick to join onto the bandwagon until further into the story.

the movie is short and sweet. About and hour and a half, they dont really go into very much detail about the characters past relationships or who the side characters are - where they came from, what exactly were their importance but they were simply there as sort of a bridge to help get the story going. Since it was quite clear that the story if about how Pie and Kim's relationship develops in the span of 1 quarter/semester in college XD;;

In the end Pie realizes what Kim truly meant to her - this being her first real love (for both characters in fact) so its a very innocent love story 8D that pushes the boundaries just a bit as its not your typical boy meets girl type of story.

It showed tolerance for the mothers part to, for her to accept what her daughter wanted. No matter how unorthodox it was. Since in the end it was simply a matter of 'what makes her happy'
now if only the rest of the world could adapt to that....

I would HIGHLY recommend this movie! Especially if you like pretty androgynous people! >8DDDDD

So 3 freakin’ animu stores later and this is all I come back with
LAWWWWWWWWWL. So Fail. I was looking for a Master Grade/Perfect Grade and possibly a BB Senshi Gundam.
But sadly, as clearly shown….Gundam plastic models are becoming more and more rare to find now adays.
The last store I went to was inside Mitsuwa, they only carried HGs of mostly Gundam Wing Gundams. ._. um…that would be last gundams I’d have on my list xDll they also have some from Destiny but only HG.

Guess I’ll be making an order from Gundamplanet after all QwQ;;

edit: ugguuuuu xD I just placed an order for the Sinaju BB Senshi from Gundamplanet.com
if only they had the Gunner Zaku that Lunamaria Hawke piloted too. I would have ordered that. But upon investigating further into ebaaaay I found a store in Huntingon Beach that carries the Gunner Zaku, $14 after shipping. I might just order the gunner zaku next week xD (one gundam at a time.....or I'll overwhelm myself)

my favorite imported french Vodka! *u* cotton candy flavor! very rare!!! Bevmo only really carries the Pinnacle brand and its alot stronger but not as sweet. So if you're looking to get drunk quick. Get the Pinaccle one and its actually alot cheaper than this one!
but I prefer this brand better because: 1. the packaging is awesome. 2. its PINK :o its like peptomismol LAWL. 3. ITS SHWEEET.

I'm very hesitant to drink it now since its $22 a bottle QwQ;; I know there are more expensive alcohols out there but seriously!!!! $22 for a bottle is expensive! D8< and I definetly wanna bring a bottle of it with me to cons coz I know Toshi and Ash really wanna try it / should try it!

And to explain the title of the blog. As many of you know, me and Toshi took a break from seeing each other for awhile LOL. We spent too much money and time together the last year coming up and down Socal and Norcal to meet up. And AX was our last con together for a while...
and well, apparently the same could go for Ash too. busy with studies. So yeah. We're all pretty much on a hiatus from one another till the next convention season.
I wont see Ash till PMX. Even if we are only 2 cities apart /: oh well....

And Toshi, I wont see till Fanime next year D8 so did some mad shopping LAWWL.

I also got 3 new candles since I'm a sucker for anything nice smelling LOL! Smores and Mint Chocolate Chip! :O ommmg these things SMELLS AMAZING!!! and they were 3 for $5! I'm going back on August 13th to use my coupon and get more LOL and the lady sold me their new fragrance somethingfromParis for $1. It smells REALLY NICE. I got one for my sister, I kinda regret not getting one for myself now LOL. but I'll be back on august 13th and I'll use my coupon and get it for free! HAH! and more candles! Right now I'm burning the Mint Chocolate one since its hot and its summer~ the smell of mint always helps cool anything down HAHA.
and I got the organic lip shine in strawberry and cream thinking it was gonna have a pink tint to it. Lawl. Lies. its just clear /: but it tastes like strawberries and cream. Disapointed. LOL. that there was no color tint to it at all LAWL. its ok, I guess just wear lipstick underneath it /: hurpderp.

Got Ash new headphones too. I spent weeks trying to rack my brain what to get her for her birthday (other than the necklace)
and I decided on the headphones since shes busy studying anyway ;A; I got the black headphones to match the iPod nano Toshi got her last xmas.
Iunno bout you but when I 'study' I prefer to block everyone out with headphones and just concentrate on what the hell I'm suppose to be learning. Hahaha.

I had ordered the Mineral Loose Powder Foundation since they were going on Clearance sale at this point also because I was out of my NYX Loose powder.

I wanted to try this out also coz I’ve heard some great reviews on it from their website not to mention they were going for as low as $3! I would have ordered more but I wasnt sure how good it was. Did a quick swatch on the back of my hand. So far so good *u*

only con I have about this powder is:

-Its smaller than I expected. This originally retails for $18. but I got it for $3.

and its considerably SMALLER than the Nyx pot I got, which retails for $15 (before taxes)

-NO SPF protection on this powder.

As you can see these pots are super tiny. I’m considering maybe just going ahead and ordering 2 more while supplies lasted or if I should just stick this out and go back to my NYX powder when I use these two up.

The NYX pot lasted me a goo 2.5 yrs! And I used that shit everyday! :o

with constant reapplication during conventions too. Well, maybe a little goes a long way. So we shall see…

Picked up Toshi from the Train Station off at Solana Beach Day 0 and she and her cousin spent the night at my place before leaving for LA at 4am! XD gyaaah I think I only had like an hr and half of sleep. Or less. but its all gewd.
Got there and we were bumming around waiting for our hotel rooms to open up. What a waste of time waiting for it not to mention waiting inline to get our badges Q_Qll

so apparently last minute decision...I'm going to Comic Con tomorrow.
Ironic, its in my own home town and I've skipped out on it several times due to it:
1. being overly crowded
2. hot as hell
3. parkings a bitch

I was planning on spending the weekend:
1. attacking my hair LAWL. Roots??? I think I'm just bothered by the fact that the brown is fading too quickly already and I missed parts of my roots underneath lawwwl Q_Q;;
and was thinking of adding pink to my blonde patch and letting it just fade out later.

2. spending money I shouldnt be spending - I still need to get Ash a few more things for her bday. I already ordered a portion of it online >3 and got myself a snazy little prezzie for myself too.

Now I'm waiting for the freakin' summer to end coz i'm looking forward to all the new Fall/Winter collection from all the brands <3 lawwwl. I clearly dislike Summer! D8<
I've been dawning the tank tops lately and I just dont like that lawwwwl. xDD fall/winter please come sooner so I can look forward to all the new lovely goodies thats going to come out for the colder seasons.

I really really *really* love the designs since their arabic ish inspired and are super comfortable. I was originally going to wear Ion but ended up giving it to Shin lawl. Which I guess in the end turned out to be a better choice lawl! Another LA Trip

LA trips are such a norm for me now /: and its gotten surprisingly somewhat boring when you really have no plan or no place new to visit. Whu? xD;; Iunno. I still love going up there I guess?
coz its alittle different from San Diego but still within a drive?...the drive to go there isnt that bad anymore either, I guess since I'm so use to going up and down there now and especially JUST coming back from Anime Expo/Am2 and having driven back and forth between LA and Anaheim @___@;;

Went up to LA this weekend to accompany a friend in Claremont to do a 'How to Draw Anime' Session. The kids were alot younger than expected! :o and in the end we talked a bit of anime, cosplay, conventions and etc. We might come back and do more sessions there if the library gets more people to come and attend. A lot of kids now a days just dont go to libraries. We are all spoiled by kindles and hi-speed internet at home LOL! And I guess kids now only go there to 'study' lawl. Or 'hang out' after school. I would know, since I live across the library and the library by my place has always been a hang out spot for kids after school or for young rascal couples to run to XD to get away from their parentals. trololol.
Anyways after the library trip. Went to Little Tokyo, was going to attempt to do some shopping for birthday presents, originally planned on going to Ontario Mills mall but didnt happen. LAwl. Derped around Little Tokyo instead.

Got crepes at the new Crepe Shop. For the life of me I cannot remember the name :D;;
they have some pretty interesting crepes and most of which have GELATO in them! :o

And I didnt know that Q-Pop was also holding an event LAWL!!!!
I got me that damn SPR necklace I've been hunting down for months and months but is always sold out everywhere else. Behind the R, is the SPR skull design. But I dont think it'd be very appropriate for me to be running around work with a pad lock necklace screaming 'SEX.POT.REVENGE' LAWWWL!!!!!!!

I also picked up two of these yogurt beauty masks coz I've heard alot about Yogurt and stuff :B and I wanted to try this before dropping $$$ for the Lineage one???? I got it from the same place next to the Sanrio store that carries the big NYX counter ish type thing. I normally go there to stock up on NYX products but I didnt. I really needed new powder and brow pencil but I fought the urge to drop more $$ lawl...Q_Q I kinda regret it now though...laawwwwl! shit.
next time I go back up to LA, I'm def gonna stock up ! D8<

I tried the yogurt masks as soon as we got back. And it felt weird, awkward but oddly enough it does feel cooling and good. LAWL. I'm going to have to try it again later :BBB
and the cool thing is, you only really need HALF of the packet to do your entire face. and no it doesnt come off as thickly as the photo on the cover does LAWL! >DDD

Also pictured, I finally caved in and got a manga, its the OLD manga Socates in love. Too bad they didnt have the novel version there. But meh. Needed something to read anyway :B

I'm pretty bad I spent most of the time at work huddled in my cubicle
spazzing out with Toshi about AX/Am2
I guess we're both just stressing out over the money matters
and the emergency that happened with them and their rides and etc =3=;;
so I think we pretty much decided on the fact that she and Katie has
to take the train to come all the way from Stockton to San Diego
and from there we'd haul our butts back up to Los Angeles DAYUM! Back tracking much?!

TAT Shin is also apparently flying in to LAX International Airport. So wow, confusion much
and friday night is also Sadie's concert in AM2!!! I plan on leaving SD at 4am to beat
the terrible LA traffic hoping to get there at a reasonable time. ._. but this is totally stressing
us all out with the hotel fees, parking, GAS! Since we're going to be going up and down Los Angeles to Anaheim
and then AX. Dammit, when was the last time I went to a con with MONEY!
me and bro were talking about this earlier on my lunch break - lol, we're always just making
the bare minimum cut! Ahahaha just enough to cover our hotel and etc to get there, but not really
enough to have any spending money around elsewhere. It's quite depressing to be honest. AHaha.

I still gotta finish sewing a few items for cosplay for my friends. Order my new lenses so I wont be a
blind fucktard at AX. I need to order poloroid film but I probably wont only coz I'm so poor.

I went shopping after Fanime~ I guess? LAWL, been needing a new bag/purse and wallet for a while now *u* so I was on the hunt to look for something! The bag I was using for forever was a messenger sling bag or something in a camo print. LOL, Ive had it for like...years and though I've switched back and forth with other bags I've always come back to it coz it was so convenient to just sling over you versus carrying a hand bag /:
So now I wanted to try and find something better, more 'mature' looking mebe ahahaha.
So the hunt at Ross began! >:D ahahaha, originally I keep eyeing some Betsey Johnson ones but their always either TOO small or TOO big. Needed a medium sized one, but that never happened. So Alas I found something else >8D

Still trying to 'recover' from it :B it was so much easier to recover from it when you could sleep in xD but no, welcome to the real world bitch. Not all of us have summer vacations and whatnot. AHAHA. So gotta suck it up, gear up and prep for Anime Expo come 4th of July weekend! (which reminds me, I need to put in my time off request from work tomorrow....)

So, lets start with the Fanimu (Fanime) 2011 Con Report x.X;; its not really...much to report to be honest since I was uber lame and didnt buy a badge for the weekend :D nor was there really any event I wanted to hit up, yeah there were panels and Yuya & FLow Concert but I wasnt really feeling it, this was a totally last minute decision to even bother going to Fanime! XD and the journey leading up to getting there...ahaha...;;

Started off at getting off work on Friday night at 7pm, normally I work till 8pm but I managed to work an hr earlier to get off an hr earlier but that doesnt really make much of a difference since my train still doesnt leave till close to 9pm... and omg. lawwwl, what a break! I meant to leave early but for some reason in the end I still found myself rushing to get to the train station! *A* I thought I was gonna def. miss my train or have to catch it at the last sec. and then figure out how to pick up my ticket at the next stop...if theres any possiblity of doing that at all! Normally via amtrak you technically CAN get off a different stop and purchase/pick up your ticket but for some reason they didnt allow it at night?...
well, it doesnt matter ahahaha! coz I made my train, got there ON TIME and guess what?! By luck! the train was atleast 10-15 mins late! ommmmgggg.... my bro drove like a maniac just trying to get my ass there xD!

felt kinda bad coz I felt like I was definitely holding everyone up ;; and when the train finally started moving, there was another delay in San Juan Capistrano! D8< whhhyyy which I believe we were there for what felt like 15 mins! urgh and the annoying part is that before boarding the train, I had to stand next to these 2 annoying drunk girls who were on their way to Long Beach =3=;; thankfully by the time we started boarding the train they ended up going to the snack cart while I made my way to the 2nd floor - for unreserved coach.
On the way we go~ I felt totally lazy, I dressed pretty comfortably since I figured we'd be arriving extremely late/really early to San Jose. Sported me some chucks and black track suit xD. mmhm sweat pants LAWWWWL totally uncool, but its ok, its late at night so no one should care what you look like! D8<
I shared the cart with a few other students getting out of school - going home or going on a break for memorial weekend, 2 of the other guys behind me, I could overhear their convo - total Star Craft nerds :B and I wasnt sure if they were also heading to Fanimu or not but I recall them dropping the name Fanime and AX a couple times in the convo xD;;

Felt like I had to much shit to bring with me for someone whos only going to be at the con for 2 days =_=;;
I brought cosmetics and brushes, a sleeping bag for Nick, a backpack for my shoes (Rocking Horse Shoes for Toshi for NANA cosplay and my Demonia boots) =3=;; its a hassle getting on and off the train with such luggage. I remember having to do that for AX! And then having to transfer trains at Union Station too! D8< never again plz! xD! so pretty much, got to Fullerton around...10/11ish? and thats where Ash picked me up and from there headed off to get everyone else at Walnut and make our way to San Jose, I dont think we really got on the road till 11-12ish @_@;; yeeep, the long 6 hr drive is brutal LAWL. And we didnt even make it out of Los Angeles and already there was an accident before Lancaster. LOOLZ. Oh fail LA so fail... we finally arrived to San Jose at close to day breakxD! and couldnt find our freakin' hotel! AHAHAHAHA we drove pass it once till I finally looked up and realized =3= shit, this is our building.... we were staying at the Fairmount hotel and OMFGGGG that hotel room was MADE for cosplayers! :D it has a HUGE VANITY!!!!!! lawwwl and it was quite roomie! :D

So as soon as we got there, Toshi was already starting to gear up for her Ginga Bishounen Star Driver cosplay, everyone else wanted to sleep. Me and nick being the idiots that we are, said. Screw sleep xD lets get ready lolololz.
well, I'm pretty sure I ended up taking a quick power nap, which consisted of a 10-15 mins of shutting my eyes closed before tacking the project of chopping Nick's Sebastian wig and doing his tranny makeup :B

edit: totally finishing up this post 3 days later....lawl...I started writing this entry Thursday? or Wednesday night? Can't remember. All I know is, today is Sunday and I'm just barely finishing up this entry trololololz. So exhausted from last night/yesterday. I ran a bunch of errands and dropped alot of money ;A; just to get new glasses. FFFFFFf why do we never wanna spend money on shit we /really/ need yet its so much easier for us to spend on crap we /dont/ really need? D8<

After Nick was done getting ready he was so freakin' excited to go out there and be SEEEEN trololol, so I guess I did a very good job on his hair and makeup then *u* I heard he was quite popular sebby at the con and at the masq ball. He didnt stick around with us long enough to get photos or much video /: geiiii hu?

Walked outside and to my surprise our hotel was located across the street from where all the FOOD PLACES ARE! :DDD OH NOM NOMS!! Considering I didnt eat since leaving work the night before xD!! I got a chicken bowl rice and boba tea~ >3
and headed back to the hotel with Toshi and everyone else to wake up Ash and get her and Michael ready for their hitman reborn cosplay.
Unfortunately she didnt bring Mukuro so she brought a different character along? D: it was epic fail since I didnt have purple eyeliner so I had to mix abunch of stuff to get the purple mark on her face to show up ;A;
I use gel based eyeliner and 2 different eyeshadows mixed to get the right color and kept dabbing it on her face and I set it with setting spray. /:
next time I need to be more prepared xD! (granted she didnt tell me who else she brought in terms of cosplay!)

Met up with Mei in her Sheryl Nome cosplay and Toshi was in her Star Driver cosplay. GOddamn we couldnt want for a few mins or seconds without people stopping them for photos! D8< daaaamn lawl.

The Gala tic Bishounen meet the Galactic Fairy

After walking around a bit at the Exhibit hall and artist ally we finally went out to try and get some gruubbb *u* forever hungry...lawwwl.
So we went to SMILE SUSHI? It was a pretty small place /: and the food was decent, decently priced too. So it wasnt bad.

Toshi just ended up order 3 cups of Miso soup =3=;; wth. While the rest of us had full on entree plates. We kept trying to shove food her way but she kept refusing it.

I pretty much forgot what happened after this. trololol. I guess I think everyone went to see the FLOW or Yuya concert this day?...and me and Ash didnt have a badge so we otped to chill at the Hotel till everyone got back then we can proceed with the night Star Driver shoot then the last improtu Nana shoot as well.

Met up with a few friends after taking a quick power nap! xD;;

After Toshi got back from the Flow concert we had the Star Driver shoot. There were a few other photographers who came out of the blue who wanted pics of her too. Ahaha.
It was pretty hard taking pics since my Sony DSLR was pretty limiting on the ISO levels I had ;A;ll goddaaamn. Someday I'll upgrade to a higher DSLR!

trolol. I gave Toshi most of the photos, so I'll probably be uploading them to my Flickr account or my DA. And she will also be uploading some on her account as well. :B

After the quick Star Driver shoot we ran back to the hotel and threw together her Shin Okazaki cosplay for NANA. We really wanna redo the Shin cosplay with a more silver-y greyish wig, the wig and sweater was provided by Mei. I provided the pants and RHS shoes.

Clearly my inner Nana Fangirl was *u* aahahahahaha. Nana is still one of my more fav. all time mangas, too bad Ai Yazawa hasnt updated it in forever ._.

I really liked the more retro feel of the photos >8D (cough,toohighisoresultsingrainycough) but it worked out for this shoot I guess. AHAHAHAHA.... ;A; oh boy I'm so lame but I still liked the results :D;;

We ended the Nana shoot at our hotel room where we did the elevator scene and the scene where Reira is holding up Shin's lighter and etc. fufufuf. Photos on Flickr/DA :B or add Mei and Toshi to your DA watch list >8D

Shoot ended at around 2 or 3am. Then showered and finally sleep. Woke up early the next day again to help everyone get ready xD;; gwah~ ahaha.

We only stood around the con for a bit before Toshi and Katie ran back to the hotel to change into something more comfy.
Ash was wearing Shin cosplay at this point and we just wondered around the Exhibit Hall. I was pretty determined to find a Valkyrie Fighter from Macross Frontier XD but..alas I only found a $200 Do You Remember Love one. ;A;
fuuuuu that shit I'm not dropping $200 for that ;A; (im already depressed from having to drop $265 on a new pair of glasses this last weekend alone! D8<) I ended up getting this little guy here >8D

Need to clean my room before I can start assembling him...wish they had a mini Zaku too to go with it ahahaha!

everyone chilled before the Masq. that night, again I sat it out and powered napped some more before running off to meet with other friends for a bit then waiting it out till 3am when we left back for Los Angeles/San Diego.

Everyone was sleeping at around 10-11? worn out from being up and about for 2 days with little to no sleep >8D
I kicked it with Toshi at the Ballroom till 2 or 3 am xD when we all said our goodbyes and were back on the road. I believe we got to Los Angeles around 7 or 8am. My train was leaving at 10.

was pretty damn exhausted upon returning from Fanimu but this is already a pretty lenghty entry. I'll have to post another up to update this last weekends adventure and whatnot.

I saw both NANA 1&2 DVDs being sold at AX as well as Kamikaze Girls (since Shin ran off with my copy D8< geeeiii) but I couldnt justify dropping $20/ea for each DVD when I know Amazon has it for less xD! geeei hu?! Its ok I have the movies in my Hard Drive but owning the physical DVDs must be nice too /: that or I can burn myself a DVD....-sigh-

I honestly wouldnt have to bring 2 bags (one suitcase and backpack) if I didnt have to bring stuff for Toshi's SHIN (NANA) cosplay lawwl. but yes expect lotsa photos and VIDEOS from Fanime this weekend :D

hmmm so a few updates is needed since I havent really been updating all that much. Since I dont want to spam this blog with useless info when really, who reads it anyway? LAWL. But yes I atleast try and make it relevant since its also for me to look back on wtf I did that week or something lawwwl.

so I believe a few things...

First of. LAWL. Guess who went shopping?! xDD;; way overdue. lawl. oh not really. OTL.

With summer coming up, i was complaining to Toshi how much my wardrobe is not spring/summer friendly. And clearly, even after 'shopping' it still really isnt LAWL since I came back with....dundundun. BLACK. Once again. Ahaha.
Black is easy, goes with everything :BBB so I always turn to it as a staple in my wardrobe. I really have very little color in my wardrobe and tbh, I dont mind it at all.

My haul...from...dundundun. ROSS. LAWL. Went shopping during my lunch break. 2 tops and 1 pair of shorts: roughly cost me a little over $20 after taxes.

You cant really see the textures and etc on the tops, but their 2 asymmetrical tank tops. 1 is covered in rose lace print pattern and the other is a solid black tank but has a lace cut pattern in the back. (Very descriptive no?...yeah I suck and can you believe I was a fashion major before?! LAWWL)
and the shorts I bought are bubble shorts! :O totally unexpected find at Ross! but goes to show you, you def. find the most random-est of items there! :B thats the same place I bought my vinyl/pleather tier-ed skirt before >:D

So I am totally gearing up for the summer...lawl (even if I wear cardigans and jackets year-round. stil. LOLZ)
now I just need a new pair of sandals which I'm hoping my sissstar will be getting for me as a belated burrfday present (since I spent my birthday in the hospital/in surgery xD)

speaking of belated birthday stuff. AHAHAA. I aslo finally went and watched THOR today with Dad :B
we've originally intended on seeing it opening weekend but alas, things happened. OTL lawls and took us this long to finally catch it. The theatre was pack considering it was a Friday night AND Pirates JUST came out. I wonder when I'll be able to see it. I'm in no rush but I def feel like the Pirate series is always been a 'must-see-in-theatre' type of movie.
And it always amazes me how 30% of the audience NEVER sit long enough after the credits of every Marvel movie /:
cant wait for Capt. America, Green Lantern and of course THE AVENGERS MOVIE!!! (BTW, Fun fact: Thor has always been my fav. hero :B)

also, one more thing~ so apparently I am attending Fanime Con next weekend in San Jose?! LAWL. Last minute decision with much persuasion from my friend Toshi and Ash. LAWL. Sooooo unprepared! @w@.
no new outfit (I've been PLANNING to sew stuff to wear) but never happened....lawl. and I would totally sew something right now but. lawl. No time. mostly because I am finally officially working full time! @-@
no more feeling of worthlessness or guilt lawl or being so goddamn broke all the time lawwwwwl QwQ;;

So yes, heres to new changes and new beginnings once again. For every bad things always comes a good thing right?

I woke up this morning freakin’ out (well, more like, noon mind you. I got up at 8 and took some painkillers which pretty much knocked me out for a couple more hours...) coz I thought I was still hallucinating or still heavily medicated when I walked out to the living room and saw a big box thats green and brown labelled ‘Pro Flowers’

I just ignored it and did my usual laps around the house: bathroom. Kitchen. living room. room. then repeat lawlz coz we all know the first time you walk to the kitchen you just open the fridge hoping something would pop up! LOLZ!!!

till I finally peeked at the label coz it hit me, why hasnt anyone opened this shit yet?! why is it still sitting here?! and it was actually addressed to me…(err well, under an Alias but it was def still me LOLZ) then I freaked out and whipped out my cellphone and started blasting Toshi demanding her wtf did she do now LOLZ!!!

coz I didnt know who sent it xD!!! and only so few people know my new address (other than ebay sellers LOOOOLZ!!!)

it ended up it was actually from Ash ahahaha xDDD I’ve never gotten flowers before other than from my mom and well, I shall remember this one as flowers I got from being probed at like a cattle LOLOLZ….

edit: i actually browsed ProFlowers just for lol and I ended up finding the exact same flowers she ordered for me.

These are actually RED tulips and blue irises! normally I dont go researching shit coz its just bad and tacky but I was curious xD! and these are actually the 20 hugs & 20 kisses bouquet.

23 & Hospitals

struddle cake my friend brought for my birthday. I couldnt eat it at all ;A;

This past weekend I was suppose to celebrate my 23rd birthday. Alas, ahahaha that didnt quite happen.
I started getting a terrible stomach ache Friday night but I pretty much ignored it hoping it would go away. Come Saturday morning it started to hurt more and more. OTL thinking it was a bad case of heart burn (since I did drink coffee that afternoon) I ran out and go anti-acids, peptobismo, the works. Nope. nothing TAT
it didnt lift up at all. My friends did come over Saturday night for a pre-party. We were planning to play COD Zombies and some Gears of War, but I pretty much spent a good portion of the time sleeping since I couldnt sleep the night before due to the pain.

Sunday rolls along and the pain still persisted. worse and worse. And Sunday, being mothers day was my birthday too and I couldnt even move. More sleeping pills, pain killers and anti-acids then I just started throwing up a good bunch hoping to relieve the pain, I couldnt seem to keep anything down at all. Come early Tuesday morning (late late Monday night) bro decided to call dad finally and I had to sit tight for acouple more hours till 8am hit before they could take me to Urgent Care, the pain was just getting worse and worse. Then from Urgent Care (we didnt have insurance) we got turned away and told we needed to hit the Emergency Room the freeway down. got there and a few mins later. Finally got admitted and finally shot me up with morphine, ran a good number of exams too and etc. Found out I have Gallbladder infection and Gallstones OTL

that same night they decided to operate and remove my Gallbladder and stones. I missed a whole week of work and hoping I recover by Monday so I can try and make up some money to pay for the hospital bill ;A;

So thats the highlight of my birthday weekend, was suppose to go with Dad to see Thor. But that didnt happen either! Hopefully next weekend when I'm feeling better we can go see it, today is Dad's birthday too and my first day home from the hospital. I got discharged yesterday.

that was the first time I got hospitalized since being a baby. I've been in the hospital once or twice before for a broken arm but not for something as severe as this. I was told I was also put on respiratory support while in Surgery since my lungs apparently are weak sauce (they've always been since I was a baby)

the doctors made 5 insertions, I havent seen the badges off yet and I'm definitely not looking forward to seeing them off AHAHAHA.

other than that.
For my birthday so far I got a $50 giftcard for Xbox Live points from Mikey which I used to buy 2 Map Packs for Call of Duty and change my gamer tag LOL (finally!)
and a package came in from Toshi from Photojojo lol!

sorry for lack of update, doubt alot of people really read the blog anyways :D lol /self pity much?! xD;;
but definitely not alot has been happening thats worth updating about, family stuff mostly has been a whirlwind of events the last few days, I wont really disclose it here since this is a public blog and I havent bothered with my LJ for forever as well. So, lets move on.

I dont really have much to update so I dont know why I'm even bothering to spam this page ;;

first and foremost, I'm still trying to work on possibly finding and working out a neater layout for this blog since I feel like everything I write or do is pretty much been slapped on here lol, from every day adventures to epic fail moments, to product reviews and whatnot, but hey. Atleast we got some handy little tags over on the side bar to pretty much help locate exact blog entries right?... ;A; right?....

I have a few reviews / tutorials I've been meaning to work on but clearly has NOT happened at all! D: why? well, because I fail. That is all. LOLZ!

yes, clearly we dont own a pitcher or a proper 'sugar' container lol....
because im using an old tin can of coffee to store our sugar....
and an old big giant bottle of Vodka to store Kool-Aid.

lol, no, joke joke! its actually Kool-Aid. Since me and my roomies have pretty much hit the last of our $10 in our checking account and all are simply too poor to really drop any real money on groceries, we've ended up raiding our meager pantries for food to get us by till we all get paid this Friday. One of our all time biggest expenses - guilty guilty. Is beverages. I for one simply LOOOOOVE Arizona Tea, especially the green tea ones. I'm lucky enough to live by Walgreens AND Vons both across the street and Target simply being a 10 min walk away at most, which all mostly has this stuff on sale, may it be 2 for $5 (for the BIG jugs mind you!) or for simply $3 something, versus its almost regular price of $4?.... so I try to keep ONE jug of it at all times in the fridge and simply fill up a thermos before I head to work and usually last me a good 4 hrs while I'm at work, and when obviously you get home, you end up chugging some more?! lolz. and well, with the heat wave settling in, obviously we all wanted something refreshing to drink, May it be Orange-ade or pineapple juice ;A;. I personally dont drink Soda and have given up drinking Alcohol for the majority of the hot weather season...LOL, I just dont like drinking alcohol when its hot, coz it raises your body temperature! LOOOOLZ and I prefer to be freezing versus being warm! XD;;
but yes I digress! So I found these cheapie packets of Kool-aid and decided to try my hand on making Grape and Cherry (the cherry i ended up putting in an empty milk jug. Next I think I'll use an old jug of Arizona Ice Tea to store the next patch so its bigger. Or keep using up empty Vodka Bottles. LOOOLZ)

Bro Tip 1: (iunno why I'm calling it BRO tip tbh...;A; genderbender much?) keeping Kool-Aid and other beverages in empty Alcohol bottles forces most of your guest to NOT opening the bottle and drinking all your amazing refreshments :D so long as you lie to their faces that its not really alcohol, you should be good. LOLZ.
I'm all up for sharing but, when you're at the last bit of your $10 and that $10 is going to go to your gas tank and you dont exactly fancy water, well, then, you better damn well be stingy of what you have D:< and if their complaining, well, ill gladly ope the door and tell them to walk across the street to Vons or Walgreens and get their own drinks xD;;

Bro Tip 2: ALWAYS ALWAYS put less Kool-aid ;A; that shit on the packets direction is always BSing you. =___=
I suggest using a good 1/3 of sugar or splenda to 1-1.5 packets of Kool-aid to a quart of water. Taste as you go, but def easier to build up the taste of kool-aid versus adding a shit tone of water and not having enough powder.

Bro Tip 3: get empty ice cube trays and fill it up with pre mixed Kool-aid, cover it with seran wrap and stick tooth pick through it. Freeze. And you got yourself some Kool-Aid pop sickles, just like how mom use to make it >:D!
I remember using orange juice (tang) alot when I was younger. Def beats the heat back home!!! Or we use to fill up small plastic bags with juice, tie them up at the ends and freeze for osme home-made popsickles.
(yes, you can spike your pop-sickles with Vodka too.....xD)
and using clear wrap will help the tooth picks from falling down while its in the process of freezing the mixture over :B

Bro Tip 4: with your Kool-Aid ice cubes or popsickles, you can even drop them into another glass full of another Kool-Aid flavor to get some variety in your Kool-Aid drink for some awesome mix-ins :D or. yes. drop it in a bottle to chill your skittles vodka too! or. well. my fav mixture: vodka + monster + kool-aid iced cubes (for flavor instead of using skittles) :DDDD

Bro Tip 5: for us poor bastards out there, packets of Kool-Aid run about .39 cents at Target :B (plus tax too foo, but thats pretty cheap tbh!)

LOL, wow. this post was meant to talk about Call of Duty's new Map Packs and Call of the Dead but I ended up talking about Kool-Aid drinks and what the hell you can do with it. xD

Frugally vain

Alot of people tend to make the mistake of throwing away make up tubes assuming that its all used up or empty! But! nu-uh! Half the time we're throwing away product that could still very well contain a good amount of make up inside! :O
I personally have made that mistake before when I use to use foundation that came in a tube. Then I remember someone mentioning before in another blog that they had cut open their BB Cream tube or Urban Decay Primer Potion to uncover theres still a good amount of product left. So taking that suggestion to heart, I thought I was running low on my Boots No.7 makeupbase/primer. Which I absolutely love! It cost under $12 and works amazing in covering up my red undertones ;A; which I absolutely detest!

Yes, yes, I know, the stuff is under $12 but still, do you have any idea how much you're wasting if you just think 'oh, theres nothing left coming out of the package, time to get a new one~' so realistic you're cheating yourself out of the product you buy! I for one would love to get the most bang for my buck!

So I took an exact o knife of blade and cut the top open and using a plastic knife, scraped off every bit of the product left, which was mostly stuck to the side or at the very bottom/top of the packaging :D and transferred it into a plastic container that you can get practically anywhere, mostly in the 'travel' section.
I got this lil plastic pot at walmart for $.93 cent! They come in different colors and sizes (per ounce)

And I'm sure I still have enough product to last me through spring/summer :O! Since I dont really use alot of it.
mwahahaha yes for being stingy!

And here is a shot of my 'make up counter' where I keep most of my every-day product. Everything else is stored in drawers or in my metal kaboodle.

LONG POST MIGHT BE LONG SO I think I should just go ahead and cut this into a strictly entry for my Norcal Trip! >D!

So as I wrote before, I took a road trip to Norcal last week with my sis and Dad to check out my sisters future prison/school xD, UC Berkley and well, SF in General.

I went to SF couple years ago right after HS and the day after I got my license LOL we took a road trip to SF. Moms motto was, the best way to learn how to drive, is to KEEP driving. So, I guess she took it to heart and made me drive from San Diego all the way to San Francisco for a weekend/con trip to San Francsico when Anime Overdose was still called, Anime Overdose (AOD) before I believe they changed it to Anime On Display?...

LOLOLOL So after a LONG LONG CAR trip we finally made it to San Francisco/Berkley! No photos yet since I'm using my sis' laptop since I was a butt and decided not to bring mine assuming my itouch wouldnt be a beezie but clearly it is! D': pieceofshit

I drove straight from work last night at 8 and made it all the way to Fresno which we got there around 2ish, checked into a cheapy motel, crashed. Woke up at 8/9. Hopped back on the road! >:D

and we finally made it to Berkley around 2? or3? Something like that LAWLZ.

Quick check in at the hotel and then hit China Town and Golden Gate bridge in San Fran.

Tomorrow I get to kick it with Toshi while sis goes to check out her future college/prison >:D

University of Berkley. Unfortunately, Toshi cancelled the Hakuouki shoot at the last min ;A;

and here I was busting my ass off to finish Kazama in time, but i guess its for the best considering my sewing machine started being a jackass to me at the last min ;A;

maaaaaan, I'm going to have to redo this shit D:< since I wasnt happy with it to begin with....>__>;;

but all is good! Tomorrow we're hitting Japan Town for the Sakura Festival.

Me and Toshi decided to do a LAST MINUTE Hakuouki shoot for this weekend! Considering I'm heading to Berkley tomorrow night after work and catching up with Toshi on Saturday LAWWL
/excited but! lol. Gotta bust my butt to finish Kazama intime! I started on Toshi's Kazama kimono ver. last year around Oct to have it supposedly done for ALA since we were suppose to have a group there! lol, but the group fell through and shit happened to me. Ahahaha, so I dug up the piece last night and started putting them together.
The black Hapi is almost done, tonight, I need to finish the white kimono and finish hemming the black one. I was suppose to get up early this morning to do it, but clearly that didnt happen! So I believe I'll just have to pull an all nighter and get much of it as finished as possible then pack for Berkley tonight as well! oAoll spazz....

Its going to be crazy but exciting.
I also went and got new head phones, SkullCandy plugs (I prefer the clip on-over the ear type) but one cannot complain when their $5! and their skull candies! LOLZ. Thankgoodness for Marshalls. I didnt have time to browse at their bags though. I've been needing a new bag for a while now since I currently carry a messenger bag thats clearly way too big lawl for everyday use...LOOOLz its ok for Work since I can stuff crap in there for work, but not for when I go out....

So, went to LA this last weekend to help get my roomie's piano down from her old apartment down to our new condo in SD. And to do a Hetalia shoot at Huntington Library :B with my sis who flew in all the way from Florida to go on college tours for UCSD, UCLA and Berkley. which I will be tagging along with them this weekend to go on a loooong car trip on my new versa to SF :X
hopefully I can catch with Toshi while I'm up there D':

I'll be posting up photos from the very laid back casual Hetalia shoot at the Huntington library....the security guard was giving us a hard time even though we were all dressed pretty casual =_=ll I seem to just get stopped EVERYWHERE I go. The other week when we went to Dland, me and Mikey got stopped and questioned! WTF. SERIOUSLY?!!! makes me rage lawl.

I wont blog much about the Huntington Shoot on this entry, will do so in the next entry when I have videos and pictures done and ready to be uploaded :D

so basically after the piano moving, we had time to kill so we derped around Glendale Galleria then hit up Little Tokyo. And there. oh boy. lawlz. I wanted to hit up Maneki Meko, a store that carries NYX! :D lovelovelove NYX. The store is located NEXT to the Sanrio store in Little Tokyo in the same plaza as The Cube, Sanrio and Nijiya.

I picked up the NYX Eyeshadow primer in natural shade. Which according to their site
"Apply before eyeshadow to hold, intensify, and make eyeshadow last longer."

they have 2 other different 'primers' one for intensify the color and another is to give eyeshadow a more pearl tone to it. I'd like to collect them all some day :X

What I like about this is:

It comes in a POT! Versus the Urban Decay Primer Potion which comes with a wand and etc, a lot of people have complained that the packaging isnt very practical, which I personally agree as well
Price!!!! :D its under $15! 8DDD I think I paid $10? or $11ish after taxes.
After 8 hrs of wear, the eyeshadow still stayed without much creasing. And I used a metallic and matte eyeshadow. And normally I find the metallic shimmer shadows tend to crease faster on my lids. but yeayeah! :D
you only need a SMALL amount, a little goes a long way!
creamy soft light texture

Cons:

Comes in a pot - can be a hygiene issue since most people wouldnt wanna dip their finger into the container, but I like the pot since it caters to makeup artists. When working with clients, I'd simply use a plastic spatula, scoop up a SMALL amount and apply.

Would I buy it again?: Fyeah! I freakin' LOVE NYX makeup 8D

BB CREAM REVIEW~
Also known as BLEMISH Cream is like a tinted moisturizer with added perks to it~
this is my first BB Cream and I was in Maneki Meko when I saw that they are carrying BB CREAM! I was like o.o hoshit! nab!! they were selling Skin79 (pink) and the oriental gold.
This specific BB Cream offers:
SPF 25 + Whitening 8B

now I've heard mixed reviews about this and most BB creams for that matter.
I personally am not pasty white Asian but I wanted to give this a shot anyway. The packaging is better than the Gold Oriental ver. This one comes in a pump with a NOZZLE. Unlike the Gold Oriental one, it doesnt and just oozes down the package D':

Color: the color when squeezed out comes out in a nice light beige color which blends alright. I personally wear Light beige foundation but my actual skin tone should be in the Beige region. I am just guilty of wearing a foundation a shade or two lighter than my skin tone regardless of summer or not, but I always make it a point to BLEND~

Light texture, goes on smoothly! :D and I have dry skin. So I was afraid it might dry out my skin or flakey but what I like about this is, like what most people said: it gives a nice dewy finish to the skin! 8B
I didnt even put a base or moisturizer underneath. It did leave my skin with a nice, smooooth texture :o

Coverage: medium coverage :D I was pretty amazed at how good the coverage was for something thats supposedly a 'tinted moisturizer' of sorts
its light and doesnt feel like you're wearing a heavy vale on your face. I finish this off with mineral powder to try and set it if need be but I've actually gone out without having to use finishing powder and its still looks and lasts pretty good :D
granted, I havent sweated in it LOLZ but of course makeup will melt eventually if your baking in the sun! LOLZ

Con:

Since it is a light to medium coverage, I still did notice that halfway through the day, my red undertones started showing up. I'm pretty sure they were there but under the lighting in my bathroom I couldnt tell. Lolz. but of course, normallyI would wear a green base primer to help minimize redness but other than that, love love love this BB and the price too!

Maneki Neko/Meko? was retailing these for $19.99, so I think I paid $22ish after taxes. CA taxes, you are a bitch D:<
online you can get these bad boys for $10-15 on most amazon stores. And on most sites, probably around the $20-25 price range anyway. but I was hesitant to ordering online and just jumped on the chance when I saw it at the store D':

And life...some of us tend to loose sight of creativity and shit :X
I've realized I've spent far too many days and even weeks moaping around the house being a stupid depressed fuck for only having a part-time job working 20 hrs a week and having aover $500+ to pay for in rent, so clearly, I'm always going to be behind on rent. Unless I seriously dont wanna eat for a week or two =_=ll and I've already budgetted my food like crazy. But in the end, you gotta get gas and etc too >__> and other bills to be covered as well, right?

Hence the lack of 'adventures' since I havent had money to and run off to LA for any events lately :X I've locked myself in the condo for far too long, not being very productive for that matter. Checking craigslist and begging for a call back....and sleeping in till god knows what time,wasting a whole day and sleeping super late.

But thats beside the point. Boring post is boring, I've been lacking on photos. I remember when I use to upload my LJ alot more, I atleast had semi-decent outfit posts. But no, not anymore lolz. I dress quite plain for work, I dont even really wear makeup to work LOL if I can help it, so to avoid having to use up makeup, makeup remover and etc. LAWLZ.

I have probably saturated Youtube for all its worth and subscribed to GODKNOWS HOW MANY BEAUTY BLOGS on blogspot just to give me something to read >_> and browsed Amazon to no end and THAT just makes me depress :D lawlz. So lets move on from that topic shall we?

I was up till possible 4 am this morning and all of a sudden having craved for donuts and coffee
and the sad miserable part is, when I drive my brother to work, I ALWAYS without fail, drive by a coffee and donut shop. lololz so that clearly does not help my case :D but!
I've been good. I drove pass it and fought the urge lolz. at the time it just sounded like a good idea, but that doesn't stop the craving for coffee, or so I thought. D':
so I went to vons and did some shameless grocery shopping :B hurpderp, more fruits for smoothies and of course the usual noodles and canned soup (oh poor student budget :D kekeke)
and I came home with 2 cans of Seattle's Best Coffee. They were on sale vs Starbucks which I'm quickly tired of already.

......now the sad part is, I have that can sitting infront of me and I have no grand desire to drink it anymore ;; and I still have a can of monster in my fridge >___> wow what happened.

What is Hydrogen Peroxide?

What is 'Hydrogen Peroxide'?:

Hydrogen peroxide, developer or activator is the 'white' stuff you use to mix and activate your hair dye to turn it into hair dye prior to slapping it on your hair :D

It is H202, and it is a oxidizing agent that you use to mix with an oxidative agent such as Hair Dye. It supplies the needed oxygen the dye needs to pretty much 'activate' it. PH levels usually range between 2.5 to 4.5 When mixed together with the dye and applied to the hair, the activator reacts and 'opens' up the hair cuticles to allow the hair dye to penetrate the hair shaft. The higher the level of the developer, the higher the your color will 'lift'
You mentioned different names and forms?

Most places/people call Hydrogen Peroxide 'developer' or 'activator' as described above.
It comes in different forms, such as your regular basic liquid cream form (white liquid), gel (clear liquid. I personally dont like using gel as it tends to be runny) and sometimes even a heavier cream version which is best used for when bleaching your brows :D as its a thicker consistency allowing no drips or drops at all!

Levels and their usages:
H202 comes in different levels, the most basic levels you'll be able to access through your local beauty supply sheps are vol. 10-40. and Yes, they DO make developers as high as vol. 50 and 60 BUT are never advisable to be used at all! :O so dont worry about those, unless you are a licensed cosmetologist, you wouldnt be able to access anything higher than 40. And most places wont even sell you vol. 40)

Vol. 10 - Used to enhance ones own natural hair color, it doesnt 'lift' your hair color at all but it definitely works for depositing color and using it to enhance your natural shade. This developer gives the least amount of damage or NO damage at all considering its not even strong enough to open up the hair shaft.
I always suggest this to anyone who has pre-lightened hair and wants to go darker.
ie: When a friend went from black to blonde (and we all know when asians bleach their hair, is usually pretty yellow), she wanted to go 3-4 shades darker but still remain in the blonde range. So we used vol. 10 + the dye. Mixed them accordingly and reapplied to her hair.

Vol. 20 - most standard of the developers, this is the one most commonly used in boxed dyes (usually the ones that comes in the boxes are alittle bit more dilluted), this is also the developer used for full gray coverage. This would lift your hair 2 shades.
its strong enough to open up the hair cuticles and deposit the dye just enough but not too strong that it'd completely open up the hair shaft.

Vol. 30 - Use this for alittle bit more of a KICK to your hair lifting, this would lift you up atleast 3 volumes and is most commonly used with 'Hi Lift Colors' Most commonly adviced when using L'oriel high lift colors, per box instruction

Vol. 40 - Highest max lift in 1 step. This would lift you a nice 4-5 shades in one step.
I highly advice this for anyone going Blonde :B since it def helps lift you up a good 4-5 shades.
I wont go into detail in regard to 'how do I lift my hair to blonde blablabla, atleast not on this post. :D I'll go into it much more detailed in a different post. This is just a basic break down on Developers and what they do and whatnot.

What are the 'hair levels' you're talking about?
Your hair comes in 10 different 'shade levels'. Most Asians are either a level 1 or 2. Which is Black or Dark Brown. When 'lifting' your hair, you can use this chart as a guide to see how 'high' you wanna go:

Will using a higher level above 10 be damaging to my hair?
Yes. The higher the level you're using, the stronger the chemical is, harsher it is on your hair, seeing as the higher the level the more it opens up your hair shaft.

the higher the developer, the more it 'raises' or opens up the hair to allow maximum porosity. The stronger the developer, the more it blasts or raises the hair cuticle which in turn, does damage your hair more and more making your hair feel more dry and course since you're taking out all that moisture and nourishment. So I always suggest babying your hair with masks and deep conditioners to try and close the cuticle and restore moisture.
When looking for a conditioner or hair masks, try to find ones that has 'Keratin Protein' in it.
keratin protein is basically the compound your hair is made out of and is very healthy for your hair to try and get as much of that keratin protein back into your hair.
