PMX 2010

All the photos in this entry were mostly taken on my cellphone camera
for a more 'journalistic blog' approach xD (aka fail coz I didnt want to bring out my HUGE
lugger of a dslr for photos LOLOLOLz)
and I think some are stolen footage from Brit's camera. Fufufu.
We left SD at Thursday afternoon. We had stuffed Tiff's car to high heaven
with our luggage and T-shirts to sell at the Artist Ally at PMX this year!

website pretty soon @.@ I think right now, everyones just kinda busy trying to recuperate and still deal with
reality XD
Met up with Toshinator, Brit and Katie at the Glendale Galleria to do some uber last minute shopping lol
coz Me and Toshi both ran out of makeup XDll so we had to do a quick trip to the Mac store and Sephora
for some supplies. Afterwards we went back and checked into our inn for the night,
we stayed at the Ramada in Pasadena for Day0.
We went to take Purikura (waiting for Toshi to scan them xD), had dinner. Met up with N
of Narcissus Fetale. Then at the end of the night, we went back to our room to do some last minute prep work
for Day1 of PMX. Shin called us (me and Toshi) were up all night chatting it up with the okama-hime XD lolz
I also dyed Toshi's hair a tint of red. The bleach I brought with me was fail and I didnt have the proper peroxide /:
but its ok, I shall redo her hair on ALA if she ends up going, which I'm sure she HAS to go =3=ll






LOL, ridiculousness insued. We failed coz we never got our booze on that night >_Oll
Day 1 - LOL brit was an amazing wakeup alarm clock, Toshi said she was going to try and get up at 5:30am
mind you, we went to bed at 430 XD (so I highly doubt that was going to happen anyway)
but Brit walks out of the bathroom around a quarter to 6 yelling emergency @.@ll
and I stumbled out of bed, looking for my glasses, gathering my jacket and boots to run out the door
and to the nearest store xD! but not before slapping toshi awake coz I thought the sillhoutte I saw at the door frame
was Toshi and not Brit. LOlz

We failed and didnt realize how close we were to the con and got there way early at 9something!
way before even ANYTHING was open at all! and I was expecting the artist ally to be alot more...organized
=3=ll this was sooo unorganized!!! So we ended up sitting around the courtyard till we can finally go and set things up

and then finally! after a few changes =3=ll at the artist ally, they all finally let us in and get our stuff
together.

BLACK HEAVEN'S ALL SET UP! :D we just had a half table and oh boy, me and Toshi A.D.D
pretty badly the first 10 mins just sitting at those tables. We suck at sitting at tables for too long
so I think we definitely need to hire someone to sit at our tables for us xD coz we seriously for the life of us
cannot sit there for too long AHAHAHA
we just kept texting each other back and forth LOL waiting for people to relieve us.
jeeez

couple hours later, the rest of the crew finally gets there to relieve us and we finally got a chance to walk around the Exhibit hall and the Fashion Farote area. @,@ So many brand name clothing. LOL but clearly none were exactly my cup of tea, I was really hoping to find Sex Pot Revenge but I def. saw H.Naoto. I just ended up getting his 2007 photobook because I'm a sucker for Photobooks. I didnt get much other than a few questionable novels - by Toshi's recommendation.

Night fall came, went out to dinner with the crew again. Once again failed to even get any form of booze.
Stayed up all night to shoot. Paranormal Activity 2 was fail.
Drunken bitches, faded off E was at the bathroom getting in our way.

LOl. I had to cut the blog entry short. Since Its long overdue and for the lie of me cannot remember what I had intended to write about anymore LOL. Add me on facebook to view the rest of the photos~

Back logged

Back logged is back logged. I had meant to post this over the weekend but that didnt happen.
Busy is busy @.@ haha. I'm having to have to recap my entries for this blog now haha.

Preping for PMX! We are 2 weeks away from PMX and still so much more to do! HAHAHA

Dia De Los Muertos Photoshoot

Totally sitting here listening to the Phantom of the Opera sound track, sipping McCafe Frappe's editing the last bit of the Dia de Los Muerto's photos. I know I'm totally back logged.

The photoshoot happened last weekend on Saturday. The photoshoot was organized by Cupcake Meg
the models were girls from our Call Center job. The shoot took place at Old Town in Downtown San Diego.

Base makeup was done by Me and Megan finished up most of them by drawing the designs.
Originally I believe this was meant to be a more traditional photoshoot but for some reason it turned out to be more of a rockabilly themed one?

Call time was pretty early at 9:30am, met up at Mitsuwa to grab breakfast then head onto to the location to for the shoot.
We had to do the makeup on the spot at the parking lot lol. It was pretty gloomy that day and towards the end of the day we had sprinkles of water coming down @.@ll oh San Diego and its bi-polar weather,

I didnt get a chance to charge my camera the night before
good thing we had a plug in at the car so I had to charge it on the spot
@.@ll

the curling Iron wasnt heating up at all. So we had to make do.

Around 10 or 11 more and more of the models started rolling in. Tiffany was also present with a video camera. I guess she and meg are going to be working on putting to gether a video. Thats why I need to get through all these photos asap now @.@ll since its been a week since the shoot and I'm slowly chopping away at them. I'm juggling this and other project. Wow! Haha.

towards the end of the photoshoot we migrated over to the Cemetery by the old Whaley House, Normally I would refuse to shoot in a Cemetery coz I'm superstitious @.@ll but yeaaaha >__>ll
their always an interesting place to shoot but I cant help but be a little weary since Old Town -is- a haunted place, especially the Whaley House.

Photo dump~ I havent been updating lately. Life has been busy busy. I wont bore you with my real life drama llama :D

preparations for XD Eksdee's launch has been pushed back but we're still working hard, theres plenty of things that needs to be done. Several events are coming up since its Halloween! :D
photoshoots to do, stylings to do, costumes to sew and prep for fashion shows. Oh my!

I think its funny, SD is super warm in the morning but when the sun goes down
its like 'hello winter! freeze freeze freeze!', the last week we've had a spree of COLD weather and now all of a sudden, its WARM again D': I decided to give them a shot since it was cold whenever we have meetings outside D': since EVERYONE and their MOM is at freakin' starbucks hogging up all the damn OUTLETS! *rage*

I use to DISLIKE Starbucks 'hot' coffee drinks but I figured I'd give it a shot >D. And now I'm addicted. mhmm~
I personally like the carmel machiatto and I just DRENCH it with vanilla powder XDDD! and whenever I fill up my point card and get free 'shots' I like to get a shot of Toffee Nut! :3

I mentioned in another entry, I really like their place, they have waffles, crepes, coffee (hot and cold!) and gelato! O_O review coming soon~

Their ANOTHER pair of Doc Martens and once again I got them for a bargain! :D I own the exact or the exact same cut in 'purple distress' :3
I normally prefer platformed boots but I love Doc Martens so I dont mind running around short in these haha!

Fashion District HAULLLL

LOL oh the madness......my haul from the LA Fashion District!

I've been planning this trip to the Fashion District for quite sometime now since I've needed quite a few things to pick up anyway but didnt want to spend abutt load in San Diego and figured I'd get more for my buck i the Fashion District and much much much more  choices when I go up there :D

so on my list to things to buy was:

1. Cheese Danishes LOLZ. You dont understand. Little Tokyo and Glendale has the best bakeries for these babies XDDDD
2. A new roller bag, small-medium size to replace my already falling apart duffel bag that I use to travel with me, I'm sick and tired of hauling it across parking lots of train stations and through air port terminals for short trips =3=!! I have a bigger suitcase but like I said, its...BIG D:<
3. Incense sticks. NEED. Grandma's house smells weird...../:
4. FABRIC IS A MUST. 

lolol now onto the purchasssess of the epic day at the LA Fashion District! but oh, fuck. First. Lemme tell you I was DISSAPPOINTED!! We got there around 9ish close to 10?  I think it was around 10am actually, and drove through the FD and nothing seemed to have been open yet /: so we went to Starbucks by the Staple Center to grab breakfast and kill timehoping things would start opening up by 11, coz normally tomy understanding the last few times Ive been there, everything was quite lively by 10.  Went back around close to 11 but still nothing, then drove to Little Tokyo and hanged out at the book store till noon to see if things got better. I looked at alot of Photobooks. I eventually want to publish a few photobooks :3 def one of my projects I'll be working on! >:D I'm excited. I wrote down alot of the names of the photobooks and I'll be hunting them all down via Amazon >:D

around noon finaly went back to the FD but bah, figured it was just a slow start....but nooo =3=ll ALOT of the places were actually closed! D': all the good fabric vendors were cloed that day /: saaaad but Santee Ally was still bustling as always....I just wish more places were open. but its ok, I got everything on my list that I needed. Minus the cheese danishes xD;;; but thats ok!

behold the new smaller-medium sized cute roller bag >:D I had every intention of getting a LEOPARD print one since I've seen them acouple times at the fasbion district with a matching carry on one BUT since alot of the places were close yesteday I ended up getting this one. Not bad. Its still cute and obnoixous. I definitely wanted to get something flashy so it stands out and I know its mine :3 even my other luggage is an obnoxious print by Nine West. This one also kinda reminds me of Betsey Johnson xD They had another version, that was hot pink with lime green dots. LOL not that was obnoxious, I was eyeing that one before this one because the pink x green one had a matching hand-bag that I'm sure the lady would have given to me for a discount as well. but Steven persuaded me to get this one coz the handle was better and true, I was starting to doubt on getting the other one since it might get  dirty quicker. The lady was nice and gave it to me for $20 flat >:D aweesommmeee I say.

incense sticks and a case for me to burn it in. I was hoping to get these at China Town since they had more variety in the scents and would come in a bigger bulk but we ran out of time and I just picked these up while in Little Tokyo. Next time I'm definitely going to grab the bigger boxes.

 

yessshhh I finally found it lOLOLOLO! I've been looking for these for so long and didnt wanna buy one off ebay xD coz I think its lol to get it from ebay just for 1 bandana XDDD I'm still llooking for the 'gas-mask' printed one /: hot topic use to carry them but I didnt wanna drop $12 for it =3= I might as well print my own at work. OH LOLZ. Stupid me, why didnt I just do that from the very beginning?! =3=lll
atleast this one cost me under $5......
 

 

Hello Kitty Mac makeup which I'm pretty sure is FAKE MAC. xD I dont really wear eye makeup alot outside of events, but the lady gave it to me for a cheaper price due to the crack on the pallete and I've been looking for a nice pallete with purples and pinks for the up-coming Sanrio 50th anniversary event. I need to get cracking on designs for that actually. The packaging suckered me into it XDD

 

 

FABRIC HAULLLL for the weeekeeennnd >:D I did NOT get enough of the red plaid since there was only a yard left in the spool =3=ll and I couldnt find more at the rest of the district. At the bottom is a purple pinstripe fabric >:D I bought a bunch of zippers to use for side pouches that I'll be working on @.@ and I also bought some STUDS! >:D and a few other trinket thingies to add onto the different designs I'm making for Black Heaven's line. :D excitedd but I'm sad that I didnt come back with as much fabric as I had intended to mostly coz alot of the places WERE CLOSED. FAIL! I need to go back before PMX so I can make more outfits for everything for PMX @.@;;

I noticed there were alot of Fashion Students and cosplayers too while at the fashion dstrict, everyone was hunting for fabrics! I wonder if everyones getting ready for PMX or something and Fashion Week/finals for all those Otis and FIDM students?XD it was interesting.
I also ran into Brian and Alex of Scarlet Antidote >:D and I'm pretty sure they were also gearing up for PMX hahaha. Fun!

my final and biggest purchase of the day was....dundundundun....
 

 

yes...a tiger kigurumi LOLZ. I plan on wearing it at night during PMX since I plan to do Taiga Aisaka from Tora Dora >D and at night when its time to chill, I'll switch to the Tiget Kigurumi lol and I'm also ready set for Halloween hahahaha. This was $40 at some store at Little Tokyo, pretty cheap considering everything else is $60-80 online, but I know I've seen this brand at AX selling for roughly 40 as well...so not bad. Really. :D

We had planned on going to JapanLA and China town but we all just got too tired already and decided to call it a day XD;;
it was fun nonetheless. Got home around 7ish or 8ish? I was sooo tired from not having slept alot the last couple weeks but I pushed through and went over to my brothers to play some HALO REACH >D hahahaha then clearly passed out and woke up this morning, went home to change and get ready for my hair appointment to get my roots redone. lolz. Roots are still kinda yellow-orangeish, this is already after being bleached twice. I got a hair treatment for free. Will rock the roots for a bit because I cannot be arsed to throw ash ontop of them so soon xD.

 

Now time to figure out an outfit for the X Japan concert this weekend @.@ hoooshiit.
