Mayday birthday updates

Forever backlogged and late  to updates. I probably keep going back and saying how I have so much backlogs and draft posts that hasn't seen the light of day... but we'll get there QwQ
Fanime is coming up and I got a ton of commission to finish prior to that. Anime Matsuri has come  and gone and omg yeah I got a post for that coming up too thats probably sitting in draft mode too. A couple of batch photos sitting on lightroom to be edited too and reviews to go through to.wow. the road to fanime is a long one. The road to finals is also just as annoying and long. Thankfully their projects and not exactly paper exams or I'd probably just die. Atleast with projects I can cry about them. Test. I can cry about them but doubt I'll retain much information lol....but in honor of me turning another year older and not another year wiser I'm gonna go ahead and procrastinate some more  on the patterns I need to be drafting and instead, am gonna sit here and write an update...which unfortunately I didn't even finish and left on draft mode so here I am not re-attempting to finish this upahah like seriously, where does the time go? who has the time to do this anymore. QwQ....

But I guess a lot has happened and not happened in the last few months following AM and I guess another of events to come as well in the coming months and summer. *Hopefully* and hopefully like most bloggers, I'll make a sad attempt to be more active. And also, wow I really need to revamp the layout or at least the banner! jeez. Not to mention my own DA account has been more or less neglected uwu.... SO LETS START THE INSTAGRAM DUMP COZ. I'M LAZY!

So right around the end of last month I finally caved and braved it and got a tattoo! Whoo! I know people have mixed feelings about them but w/e. I got my first one last month and my 2nd one just a few days prior to this entry actually. The first one I got a sketchy design of Vivienne Westwoods iconic logo on my collar bone area and yeah it actually went over my collar bone. I've debated about this for quite sometime (years even - design, placement and etc) and I finally caved and got it! And for my birthday my brother from another mother Ying for me another one! A kanji on my inner forearm that read "戦士" or "warrior/soldier" theres a lot of meaning behind this and I don't feel the need to interpret it for anyone else. 

And its definitely not going to stop there! I got plans for more and bigger pieces in the future *w* 
pain wise, it is as how people describe it. A hot needle dragging across your skin for the most part. Take a sewing needle and do  tiny scratch marks on your arm or a long drag is basically how it feels. The one on my collar bone, I'm not gonna say it didn't hurt but it was definitely tolerable :D I dont know how much I'm looking forward to if I get some intense shading done but nonethe less stoked though. I think the reason why I hesitated this long; well clearly the sad disapproving looks from your parents (it doesnt get any easier the older you get ahaha) and the negative connotation tattoos get throughout society AND to top it off; cosplay (probably?) but throw caution to the wind and just do it.

Also as part of my birthday I treated myself to some LUSH products and I can already say I AM A LUSH CONVERT. GOOD BYE BODY SHOP. HELLO LUSH *w* and more you guessed it, more Westwood! Last weekend I also went to All Saints with a friend and Neeman Marcus and oh boy. Its all over now. I still want more Chrome Hearts (I got a new CH necklace but no photo oh noes) I also want / need new RHS coz mine took a beating through Matsuri but I fixed them with glue aha...

Actually JK. I still like a few products from Body Shop and truly believe in their products but I was looking for a new pick-me up and was getting quite bored or unimpressed with the sheet masks and much prefer the thicket pasty masks coz IDK I feel the grosser it is, the better it is for your skin?! AHA. Well, I use to make my own masks; yogurt oatmeal honey or matcha yogurt oatmeal and etc but was getting tired of having to always mix a new batch. And wanted to try something new. I picked up 2 things; brazen honey and cosmetic warrior.

and samples galore from the Body Shop since that was the first place I hit with the intent on finding a new face mask but I wanted to try 2 different once. typically in a face mask I look for; anti blemish, pore cleansing/deep cleaning and must leave skin brighter and moisturized! Of course theres not a all-in-one product for this so I had to clearly look at 2 different types. But I'm saving these samples (I got the seaweed one and tea tree one from Body shop for Fanime when I travel since I can't exactly travel with the LUSH ones)

The lady at LUSH was  really *nice* I think I met my new skin care BFF lol she was really nice and sat me down and tried samples on my hand and gave me a generous sample of their Herbalism cleanser and moisturizer WHICH YOU ALREADY KNOW I'M GOING TO GO BACK FOR COZ BYE BYE BODY SHOP OVO CLEANSER, HELLO LUSH!

Oh more on the mask; cosmetic warrior is anti blemish- has a funky smell to it but if you're used to au naturale masks you're gonna easily get used to that funk and lets get real, its not that bad.

The next one I got which is my absolute favorite is Brazen Honey, it has almost on it, honey and I think oats?? As per description, great for tired skin and needs for that pick-me-up. SOLD SOLD SOLD. They even have a chocolate one which I wont lie, it sounds deliciously tempting OvO maybe I'll ask for a sample next time I'm there ehehe...

My friend got me my HG primer/pore minimizer from Body Shop. I like this cos it DOES come with tea tree extract so I don't have to worry about my face potentially breaking out. QwQ I've tried a lot of different primers but this is definitely my go to on a daily basis.

and finally caved and got a Urban Decay color (I have the Naked palette but uweee) pot :o so buttery soft. So so so buttery soft. I can see why its sold at a few dollars more than Mac colors.

2-3 MONTH COMPREHENSIVE POST

YES Because I always choose the right time to check in - drop by a notice is when I absolutely have no time in my hands qAq (well thats not quite 100% true because you all know I'm probably going to ignore home work to play League instead) BUT HERE I AM WITH A BIG LONG COMPREHENSIVE POSTS THAT PRETTY MUCH IDK. GOES ALL THE WAY BACK FROM SEPTEMBER AND WHAT THE HECK I'VE BEEN DOING SINCE THEN /caps.Sorrynotsorry. LONG POSTS IS LONG and. Welp. Photo dumping~ so unorganized IDK where to start. I've got a couple of articles for NYC cos mag and a few reviews I got lined up as well that I haven't touched and a new taobao agent that I gotta review too. But other than that....I'm not entirely sure where to start and I have pretty much went recluse lol...that and I won't lie....ignoring Lightroom coz....IDK what to do with them...like. What do bloggers do nowadays anyway? I feel everyone has gone through vlogging and I kinda miss just /reading/ and looking at photo posts but a lot of the people I personally follow has pretty much also went into hiding, minus a few other bloggers from another country who still manages to capture outfit photos and etc.  I can't even remember the last time I've done an OOTD.

Again I'm probably going to be relying on Instagram to help me back track through all these months I've been away, if you follow me on IG you can pretty much just guess whats been going on ahaha....for the most part...thankgoodness for social media lol for helping us back track for the months/days lost ahaha....

 

I wont lie, this has been pretty much my life the last few weeks / months LOL...(oh wow no pun intended)
I was a bit apprehensive on starting League for a number of reasons ): games are addicting, no time to play them and there are certain individuals that just kinda make you not want to play a certain game. But I finally caved in >_> Do I regret my decision? Slightly LOL! but it IS a fun game but I pretty much taken a back seat to it now, but when I first started oh man ): where did my time go...still pretty much a n00b at it but its a fairly easy game to pickup if your familiar with DOTA type games and I think the biggest thing that would also help is having a good team / support system and well, knowing the champions because with so many different  champions you just never know who your going to face against. (Can you tell who my main champ is?! LOL the skins were all gifted to me too) I actually started off ADC with Ashe and Jinx but during world (before I got into the game) I was pretty curious about Ahri and picked her up after earning enough IP :3

 Picked up a few books from BOOK OFF for cheaps! Missed reading but again this just goes back to having enough time and everything /: but it should never be an excuse not to enjoy a good book or two. These were very easy reads, blasted through them in a weekend. So its time to hit Book Off again and peruse the isles and see what gems I stumble upon again. I lost my copy of Missin' by Novala Takemoto  (the guy behind Kamikaze girls) and I got it from Book Off before ): everytime I go I'm always hoping to find another one but I should really just try Amazon...

School is finally ending and tomorrow I have to figure out what the hell I'm doing in regards to school / need to register for classes for the Spring semester and figure all that out...whatamIdoingwithmylife...Its been almost a month or I'm sure its BEEN a month or two already since my last post....Halloween came and went and I didn't do much. Well. Work. Thats what I did. Finished up signing up for my Spring semester classes and will be going back and forth between 2 colleges and then work. Contemplating if its worth taking the 3 classes or if I should just not risk it and stick to 2 classes /: since the work load is unpredictable but with any language course I feel you really need to have the time to invest in it. I have till the first few weeks to decide if I can hang or not ): But back tracking before the end of Halloween / school. In the spirits of getting all dressed up I decided to try and do something different this year or try to get into the mood of things so a few makeup tests was done, and man. Its quite tiring. IDK where you kids get the time and energy to do this LMAO by  all means it IS fun but the time and effort it takes to put your wig on, makeup AND to finally snap photos. Wow. I forgot how much work it is to be a cosplayer ahaha....

PMX came and gone as well, I didn't really do much of a shoot except for Amnesia - which I still need to upload and go through and figure out what to do with. I'm usually pretty quick on turn-around on photos but things have taken a back burner on everything u_u. Got reviews need to write up and its just has not happened yet...but the photos above pretty much sums up my PMX weekend ahaha...loosing dollywink lashes and having to look for them. Seriously guys,  their not easy to find ): so don't loose em! That clear band!! Argh ): Hung out with some cuties :D and cosplayers too~ aaah I haven't looked through all my PMX photos yet so...lol... Saw some friends who came down from Norcal too :D but too bad we didn't really get to hang out all that much but hopefully Fanime! *w*

 Of course you had to have your post con food / hang over not really coz you didn't drink that much to get a hang over anyway I'm most likely skipping out on Anime Los Angeles (despite the need to cosplay is so strong) because I'm trying to plan a trip to Houston *oh you ambitious little sh!t) lol....but we shall see!
And since nothing really happened between PMX and well, what ever happened before and after PMX was nothing exciting other than school and homework and work...then we come across BLACK FRIDAY lol the after turkey day sale which brings madness in the states ): oh well. Last year I avoided the frenzy and went the day after and just got my phone, this year I decided to brave the midnight crowd alone. I was on a mission to get a 3DSXL after years of wanting one. I'm always late to the handheld console party and usually only buy during sales lol...I got my psp 2-3 years ago also during black friday lol....

 It was a well fought battle! LOL I got inline at Target at 7:40pm Thanksgiving day since they were opening their doors early at 8pm that night versus midnight like other stores. I went to the store the day before to scout out the area lol recon mission man! Had to check where the prize was and how much they had instock. They had them in a glass case where all the electronics were, I had my eyes set on the black one since I know theres no way I was going to be able to get the Zelda bundle ):
Doors opened at 8. The line was wrapped around the building and I was definitely in the back, thankfully the lines were moving rather quickly. Years of mosh pits and convention crowd weaving has prepared me for this day. As soon  as I got into the store I weaved through the crowd who was fighting for the TVs and everything else, being 4'10" has their advantages and disadvantages. Lucky for me I was able to maneuver through the crowd easily and got THE LAST DS ON DISPLAY AAAAH which was the red one. Shamelessly grabbed it before a lady and her other daughter did. You snooze you loose lady ): shoulda known what you were looking for before you stepped into those doors! LOL (she was asking an associate where the 3DS were) and I ran to get inline, along the way I found 2 other DS on the side, pink and black one :O! Nabbed them coz I couldn't decide at that point which color to get. Made a few calls to see who wanted me to grab em one while I was there xD too....I ended the night victorious! With my prize I retreated back to base to do more homework....u_ull I didn't pick up games till the following day after work ahaha...

To continue the Black Friday haul I did some major video game hauling. Like woah. I can't remember the last time I hauled games like this ): I think the last time may have been like idk a decade ago lol when I got my xbox and I got 3 games with it. But man the price of games have surely risen from then but the good news is. I got all these games for the price of 1 new game :o holler~ Thank you black friday! First up! Hakuouki Warriors of Shinsengumi. Duuude I didn't even think Aksys was going to license this and I completely forgot about it! Thankfully I was browsing twitter when Aksys announced 30% off their games, curious coz I still didn't have any games for my DS I took a peek and woah LOL yeah I ended up with a PSP game instead.

Gamestop had a buy 2 used get 1 free. Had to take advantage of that and since I was living under a rock I didn't even know Ninja Gaiden 3 came out qAq ahaha...and apparently this time you get 3 new playable characters. wnweoihneohnroehtheydidntyouthatin2!!! Also picked up CODE PRINCESS because, beat-em-up dungeon crawlers are the best and of course OF COURSE cooking mama loooo my brother got me Harvest Moon *w*  I also forgot my friend gave me Persona Arena after PMX but I didn't get a chance to really play it till of course the week most of my projects are due I decide to get back into games..orz what is homework?...

And to continue the Black Friday haul adventure qAqll went to the mall with le friend after work just to see whats going on in terms of deals and sales as I kept getting messages from friends XD all over the place saying this and that is on sale. So I was curious to see what they got going. Grabbed a long tunic sweater hoodie from H&M (no picture) for $10. Not bad not bad. I wanted to hit up Forever21 to get more tights but then again I run through them like crazy coz for some reason I cannot just seem to keep them from ripping QwQ;; should stick to ebay then u__u

Went darker for the fall too, well, actually. I was trying to go with a purple tint to my red. I had slightly right around PMX ahaha...I initially mix 3 parts red and 1 part blue but I kinda did it 3:2 this time around and it turned a little darker than I had expected. Hoping it will fade out if not, bleach cap~ then I'll throw purple back on it again...

This is pretty much a conclusive overall haul for the last couple days/weeks/months coz Idk where have I been other than trying not to freak out about AX / At AX / Trying to SURVIVE AX....I didn't get a chance to poke my head inside the dealers hall this year...which is probably a first for me ): though lately even when I go to cons I pretty much just go just to check out merch and never really bring anything back unlss the Bandai booth is there but even still I still have 1.5 model kits that haven't been done yet. (I say one and a half coz one of them has been partly built and the other is just sitting there waiting to be touched. Maybe once I make it through all the AX photos I can work on that...but then..theres also remaking some cosplays...gdi LOL and schoooool noooo) .__. oops. I'm running out of room. maybe I should just transfer all my BBs and slap them on my dashboard with my storm trooper...but...then again it wouldn't work lol...

So I guess I'll just start from here  ఠ__ఠ not sure if its due to late nights spazzing about AX or just dragging my butt out of bed to go to work has caused my skin to break out =_= Ironic that I didn't break out the entire time I was at AX and thats with pounds and pounds of makeup, little to no sleep. But I get back to SD and its like break out central щ(ಠ益ಠщ) (mind you, I mostly just wear bb cream and powder when I go to work. Sometimes I would wear foundation coz need extra coverage sobs and not sure if thats what caused the break out but I also went on an intensive disinfect/clean all brushes spree this past weekend too)
And summer means oil sleek central and I am not about to keep dabbing my face with oil blotters and powder it to no end qAqll hateoilycomboskinusogei. Tried out Clinique's Stay Matte. So far so good. Cheaper than MakeUp Forever but hurhur maybe someday I'll try that. IDK I've always sworn by Clinique's formula. Never broke me out.

Shine reduction? So far so good, wear time? I'd say averagely a good 4-5 hours before I see any form of significant shine coming through. Better than 1-2 hr of wear and already shine ):< I can probably even say it works till the 6th hour lol which isn't bad at all. And of course, korean ladies just love showering you with samples. I hoard sample packets like these so when I travel. Never have to bring a damn refillable bottle ever again. If I can help it.
 
A job well done, I got rewarded a Marshalls giftcard at work~ whoo whoo for putting up with egnrhnoreh many new trainees and having to train them orz hey its no raise but I'll take it

And from there, I picked up some old lady perfume lol Elizabeth Arden Green Tea (lol how to smell like an old Asian lady lawls) and finallyyy a curling wand. I held off on getting one before coz dumbass me burnt myself twice using my old curling iron from school like a wand. Yeah. Never again ╭(๑¯д¯๑)╮

I'm just gonna get the right thing and the right thing this time =__=ll and finally got the Too Faced Chocolate Soleil powder. HEAVEN. HG contour powder I cannot say enough praises for it щ(ಥДಥщ)

IDK if your like me but my biggest pet peeve with bronzers and contour powders if - they turn your skin orange. Especially if you have the same skin tone as me. And, I prefer a matte powder in a cool tone brown. 2-3 tries at Sephora and several product later =__= I figured, enough. Just. Get this. No regrets.

Its the perfect matte powder, in a  COOL TONE brown shade, does not give me a streaky orange tinge midway through the day, its completely matte and SMELLS LIKE VANILLA MARSHMALLOWS OMG HOW CAN YOU NOT

I'm tempted to return the highlighter I got for their candlelight one too honestly ಥ⌣ಥ but jebusss its an arm and a leg...but forever kawaii lol

And the other stuff were from ULTA. Which =_= I need to go and return an item coz, that concealer is not my shade LOL.... (╯°Д°）╯┻━┻ So fail. So freakin' fail.

I honestly wasnt planning on posting this tonight since I'm pretty much exhausted but I'm gonna make it quick I guess. Goodness how easy does Instagram make it to just keep doing shameless dump posts like these.

Its finally the month of may, meaning my birthday month. I won't insert a birthday ramble here just yet. Perhaps on my next post. Going to make this quick incase you don't already follow me on tumblr.

New game app that my friend showed me. Super fun and addicting, totally kicked Line Play on the butt. I didn't last long on Line Play to be honest. I still have it just don't log in enough. This one is called Puzzle & Dragons. Its a dungeon fighter game in the form of be-jewellwed mixed with Pokemon. You collect and fuse monsters and level grind. Simple enough.

This weeks selca brought to you by my vanity. Wearing Missha Perfect Cover BB Cream which to be honest, I hated at first but kept revisiting it. Lately I've been wanting to give my skin some breathing room. I've tried wearing just power, from Rimmel Matte power, to revlon mineral aqua to even trying Bare Minerals. Wasn't quite happy with the coverage so I decided to go back and revisit my Missha BB cream which turned out to be a great decision. Covers enough, my skin is an oily mess but I don't notice much of a difference really when wearing this versus other foundation. If anything my skin is probably less oily wearing this vs just using powder alone. It doesn't cover my hyper pigmentation but its build able. Or I'll just slap on concealer. I went ahead and ordered another tube as I was on the last bits of my current one.
I can probably see myself wearing BB Cream for the remainder of the spring/summer unless I'm going to a big event that requires something more opaque in terms of coverage.
For those curious what shade I wear, I wear the #23 in Medium Beige, my natural skin tone is an NC35. But I wear an NC 30 for my regular foundation (in Mac color terms).
I clearly do not wear that YSL lipstick enough. Been wearing the bronzing powder from Bare Minerals. I'm not 100% sold on their foundation powders but I'm definitely sold on their bronzing powder. Pigmented. Blends well and stays on well without the need of a primer or setting spray.
Still sporting the dueba 2-tone browns. I forgot to take better photos of it today. Still need to do a review on them and the I.fairy.


Toshi sent me a package for my birthday. Not shown here but its on my instagram. Such a boss. Sent me cross print leggings and a high-low cut tank. Also cross printed. Yes.

As I mentioned on my instagram post, in the 10 yrs that I have been in America and have adapted to the American lifestyle and diet, I can account that I've only ordered a Venti drink from Starbucks twice in my life. This being the second time.  Light Green tea frappuccino with 5 scoops of Matcha. I love half off fraps. I always time my trips to Starbucks between the hours of 3pm to 5pm to make sure I get the half off deal.

Came home to Matcha roll cake the other night. Only to find out I needed to run an errand for my mom to court the next day early before work. Wasn't too thrilled about waking up early to run to downtown before work....

Todays haul from the mall which excites me to no end because I saved $33 Yes. That much. Groupon released a $20 Body Shop groupon for the price of $10. And as a bodyshop member (you pay $10 one time) you get $10 store credit on your birthday month. So really, the card pays for itself. I honestly have a love hate relationship with the Body Shop. Some of the items they carry I feel are overpriced for the price that their asking for and performance wise, I don't feel that its worth the price point. There are several other items I'd be curious to try but only if their going for a good deal. And also they just happened to be doing the Buy 2 get 1 free deal. Or buy 1 get 1 deal.
Went in to grab another Tea Tree Face Wash which I swear by since I get it for my little brother mostly. I normally get the regular one (the giant green bottle for $10) but they had this new one that recently came out  the lady at the shop said its a new formula or something coz its meant to clear acne in 3 days time. For an additional $2, sure why not? I did have the groupon for it so why not? If its going to help subside preadolescence acne and save my little brother the torment of having shitty acne, why not? But of course I used the remainder of the points on myself.
Todays Body Shop haul is the face brush which works to clean and exfoliate the skin. A lip scrub that comes in a lipstick type tube. I have the Lush bubble gum one which I keep at home but this one I would be able to shove in my purse to carry with me.
A sakura scented oil perfume and a tinted lip balm in raspberry.

I've picked up enough items from the Body Shop that I should be able to write a comprehensive review on some of the items I've picked up. I feel like I consistently come back to them for their tea tree line mostly but since discovering tea tree oil, I've been pretty much mixing my own toners, masks and moisturizers that I dont feel the need to go back to them much but for the face wash for my little brother.
I pretty much took my toner (I had a damask rose toner from Boots and mixed tea tree oil in it and for my little brother who has acne, I took Eskinol Lemon Astringent Toner and added Tea Tree Oil with it.) and for moisturizer, I took my clinique moisturizer in gel formula and added drops of tea tree oil on it. So far so good honestly. If anything I'd probably go back and get their tea tree body wash just to be sure no body acne. No bueno.

I wouldn't mind trying their other stuff as well only if I can keep getting these sweet ass deals.

Lastly. New makeup pouch from Forever21. Wanted a new makeup pouch for the longest time and this one just so happened to remind me of the Dolly Wink brand and it folds in half and has compartments. Win Win Win.

And as human, natural curious creatures I'm just going to go ahead and name the items I carry in it. There are a few essential items I will never leave the house without. One of them being is this makeup pouch, my wallet, keys, my knife and lighter. Why the later two? If video games have taught me one thing, is, its to be prepared. Lets face it, the 3 yrs I spent as a girl scout didn't exactly prepare me for a zombie apocalypse or how to light fire using sticks and rocks. Not to mention I'm not even sure what flint looks like in all honesty. Also, burning the tip of your eyeliner also makes it darker and smoother. LOL.

I'm not a big fan of the Revlon lipstain, its not as hydrating as you'd think it would be, color pay off is ok. I like the shade honey since it does leave your lips stained with the 'my lips but better' effect. If anything I wished I would have just dished the extra dough and went with Tarte matte lip stains. But will probably stick with this for now....

Love the sephora color reveal lip balm, its not the most hydrating balm out there but I love that it does give you a lip tint based on the pH balance of your own lips. It always gives me a almost hot pink color tint to be honest. Their hydrating lip balm isn't anything too special, for the price you pay you might as well have gone with nivea which is still one of my go to for lip balms.
