Lens shops that still takes Paypal!

With the sudden rise of many major circle lens store switching from NONE-paypal payment to direct credit card payment. Many people are weary about purchasing from these stores for fear of fraud charges on their accounts. And for many of us in the US our cards are held or suspended transactions until the bank hears from us saying - please process.

Heres a list of circle lens stores that still takes PayPal and I have bought from them before and haven't had any hiccups with their transactions.

http://www.kawaiilovebeauty.com/

Kawaii Love Beauty: One of the few sellers that's actually based in the US. Most of their plano lenses ship from their US warehouse but prescription lenses tends to take a while to process since they have are being shipped from another region and not in the US.

Limited selection of lenses but great for those who prefer gyaru style lenses. If your looking for cosplay lenses and are in a pinch, I suggest the geo tri-color series (or any of the tri color series which they do carry)

http://www.kiwiberry1-collection.com/

Kiwiberry1: I use to shop here a lot for all my lenses since their usually pretty good about promos (they do them quite often but it just basically negates the shipping charges for the most part)
processing time is average like most sellers. Same with shipping.

Has a good selection of lenses and carries a lot of the older lens series (staple geo series)

www.loveshoppingholics.com

Love Shipping Holic: does a lot of promos and code promos if you google up bloggers.
I haven't ordered directly from them myself but have only done so through group orders.
So far so good. Has a wide selection of lenses, MAKEUP, lashes and etc!

Does promo for express shipping, they do ship from Malaysia I believe.

http://www.uniqso.com/

Uniqso: Another website that does alot of sponsorship with alot of bloggers, so if you just google real quick its pretty easy to find 10-15% off coupon codes from bloggers.
Another one that has a WIDE range of cosplay lenses, especially cosplay centric ones like Tokyo Ghoul and etc.

Also has wigs, wide range of makeup and lashes selection. Basically your one stop shop if your a cosplayer. I hear they ship faster to the EU region than they do the states. I ordered from them once and it took ave 1-2 weeks??? Shipping was DHL.

I.Fairy Red Lens Review

Diameter: 14.5mm
Water Content: 42%
Base Curve: 8.6mm
Replacement Period: 12 months

I've used these lenses quite a bit for several different looks but one thing I gotta say about these lenses is that they are incredibly vibrant. Very bold color pay off and has a very thick limbal ring! Definitely not for the faint of heart!

They come off quite strongly and makes a great statement. Definitely not for the moe type characters if thats what you intend on using them for cosplay!

The great thing about these lenses is they show up incredibly well even in indoor lighting settings and for portrait cosplay shoots where your not exactly in full frame of the camera. The photos I posted below are mostly in-door lighting so you can definitely see how well these lenses do in terms of design and color vibrancy.

The water content on them makes them quite comfortable, I've been able to wear them for over 8 hours (again, not recommended) and for 14.5mm they definitely look almost 15mm because of the thick limbal (black) ring around them.

I had no issues with dryness with these lenses (but I feel it could also be subjected per individual) but I absolutely love these lenses and would continue to repurchase them!

I believe I got these lenses off candylens.com, I dont believe pinkyparadise carries this specific style but  I do think honey color does.

G&G 3-tone purple lenses review

Its almost the end of the year and here I am trying to catch up on reviews / entries lol. Hi..
I've had these lenses for well over half a year now? Or should be right about half a year. I got them right intime for Anime Expo but never got around to reviewing them so here we go! :D

This time I'll be reviewing the Dueba/G&G Puffy 3-tone purple! I've reviewed a similar product but the green versions here

Diameter: 14.5mm
Water Content: 38%
Base Curve: 5.6mm
Type: 1 year disposal
(most recommends to replace your lenses after 3-6 months to promote healthy eyewear. I'm not a doctor so...dont take it from me)

I'll just be following the same format as I've had on my previous review as to be honest, there isnt much of a difference from the other lenses I got, except for these ones are a different color and I got these from Honeycolor! (versus Kiwiberry lenses)

Design: Like the green ones, these lenses features the same tri-color blends. A gold-ish hazel tone in the middle, then the purple violet tone and finishes itself off with a smaller black limbal ring around it. These lenses are SUPER vibrant but are incredibly comfortable! Thats saying alot considering these are quite vibrant in design and color. I have typically dark asian eyes - almost black but as you can tell on the photos below, these babies pop quite well! I even included a video for you.

Enlargement: Like the green ones, not exactly the best in terms of enlargement since the limbal ring blends in with the design, so unlike the princess Mimis or the other lenses that has a more pronounced black ring around it, the enlargement effect on these aren't exactly noticeable.
Comfort: The water content is not on the high 40s but its definitely still one of the more comfortable lenses I've worn and I've worn these for hours unend thats why I keep going back to the 3-tone series (other than the vibrancy and design) but to each their own in terms of comfort. I personally had a hard time with the princes mimi series, I've tried both grey and brown I've had better luck with the brown ones but like the previous grey pairs I owned. After 3 months of owning them, I just couldn't bare to wear them for more than an hr or two /:
I've tried peroxide rinses on them numerous times as well but its still not as comfortable. These lenses in terms of comfort level are up there with my old geo nudy and angel color ones as well as my Hanabi pairs.

Sunlit / Natural Light:

Nighttime & artificial light:

So as you can tell from the photos above, these lenses are incredibly vibrant especially for those who have dark eyes and are looking for something vibrant. I highly recommend these for cosplay despite the limbal ring. They photograph incredibly well and would definitely compliment your cosplay a lot if you're looking for a nice softer look versus using a 1-tone colored lens which can look rather artificial at times - but again, to each their own! Hope this helped on your next lens selection!

Dueba Puffy 3-tone Green lenses review

My long over due review for these lenses....I got these a while ago but never opened them till closer to AX. I was looking for a pair of green lenses that would work well for cosplay and show up well enough. I was debating between these puffy 3-tone and the Princess Bambi Green ones. But I hesitated on the princess Bambi ones since I've had a bad experience with the grey ones being incrdible uncomfortable even though I've worn lenses that are 15mm /:

Defective Lenses & their dangers! READ!!!

I know this post has been floating around twitter, blog spot and possibly even tumblr (not surprised to be honest...) but I decided to go ahead and repost this here as well as I know many of you; cosplayers, gyaru's and what not are all - in one point or another; wore or STILL wear Circle Lenses.

But I hope some of you took the time to go to Mint's blog; http://www.hystericmint.com/ and read her latest post on the dangers of wearing defective circle lenses

Circle lenses is, more or less a taboo conversation for many since a lot of people either love them or hate them. I personally am impartial to them. I like to use them for cosmetic purposes, for cosplay and for days when I don't FEEL like wearing my glasses.

I personally wear circle lenses 1-2 times out of the week or every other 2 weeks. I own a range of different lenses and color and mostly purchase from trusted sellers and brands and I do my research prior to buying a new pair. but with that being said....one can never be too careful.

She censored the companies names and specific brands of the company and lenses mentioned in the post but to be honest; its not hard to differentiate the lenses and companies mentioned - especially if your an avid lens wearer...and frequent blog reviewers.

The website in question is EyeCandyLens.com...thankfully I have never ordered from their website before since I like to double check and read reviews and policies regarding defects and whatnot from their website. I've looked into their website and no where in there do they mention any compensation for defects and whatnot - again this is at your risk when you do buy lenses outside your Dr's care....

I've had my own experience with "defective" lenses. I ordered the Tsubasa Princess Bambi in Sesame Grey from another website, one that I trust and continue to order from...The lenses looks AMAZING but can be incredible uncomfortable after a few hours of wear. Sometimes I'd be forced to remove them just after an hr or 2 max. Sometimes even a few mins! I've been tempted to throw my lenses away for a while now but have kept them - just for keep sakes? /: I've complained about them to my friends before and have tried cleaning them over and over with the peroxide wash and etc. It did help but not for long.

So far my other friends have not complained about their lenses, since most of them wear their just for cosplay, I got mine in perscription....so I say I probably wear mine more than anyone. but since they give me the most issues I rarely wear them - if anything I havent worn them since October. And after reading her post, I am most definitely going to be throwing mine away as there is no reason for me to really keep them when their UNCOMFORTABLE.

So I guess I just want to reiterate that if your lenses ARE bothering you, do yourself the favor and take them out and most likely trash them. Do your research and buy from reputable sellers.

So I hope this sheds some light to some of you, who DO wear lenses and to be careful from which sellers you buy from.

Cupcake weekend & Gundams

Photos brought to you through Instagram! :o I dont quite understand it yet since I cant seem to access my photo gallery online but only through the iPhone so I gotta get smart and upload them to FB or Tumblr for me to even get them onto my PC roflmao anyways....

Another semi-productive weekend (yes I'm sorry I slept in again and didnt get to start my morning till late afternoon again roflmao!!!)

This week, I was hoping to make Lavender and Rose cupcakes but unfortunately the store I normally frequent to get my baking goods apparently dont carry them anymore )8 so I opted to get Marshmallow and Eggnog...why not?...lolz...

Here are some marshmallow cupcakes....you can tell me and my little brother went alittle over board with the food coloring. Hahahaha!!!!

Cupcakes are suppose to be fun and clearly need some color in them!!

lol omg you can tell I poured in too much and
the cupcakes clearly over flowed! hahahaha!!!!
the purple color turned out pretty light since I didnt put in enough
so it totally reminded me of Taro cupcakes back home Q_Q....

new lenses came in from Kawaii Love Beauty.com!!!!
super fast shipping.
I just ordered some reg brown nudy lenses

I ordered these babies on Wednesday night and I received my lenses Saturday morning! (today)
WOOOOW talk about fast shipping and they DO carry prescription lenses
and plenty of plano and special order lenses.
I was eager to find a US based seller and I def. found it in them!
Since I hate waiting for my lenses to come in ROFLMAO....
well, if its for cosplay its ok.
but I got these for my 'regular every day'
lenses since my lenses that I own are TOO big or TOO bold in color?..
hahaha I have Blue Nudy lenses but I dont feel comfortable
wearing them to work....Q_Q
So hopefully these will do the trick since I dont like wearing my glasses for long
since my fails gets oily (sorry, so nasty) and it makes my glasses slip and slide
D8< grossss

heres what they look like in bathroom lighting.
I havent taken them outside. I normally have pretty dark brown eyes.
their not as bright as I thought they would be.
which in a way is kind of a relief?...coz then I can get away with wearing them to work
the only other brown lenses I tried were the angel browns
which were also as equally comfortable and the black rim is more prominent
versus the nudy series. And I like that the Nudy series is more a dewy tear look to it?...
sometimes I kinda wish the brown is more pronounced but its ok. These are more subtle
haha and the enlargement is Ok. I'm used to wearing bigger lenses now haha.

but I kinda want to try the EOS Adult Browns next O_O
the design seems pretty plain and boring in my opinion but I've seen alot of
people wear them. So I might as well give it a shot too and see how much the difference is between the
nudy and the EOS adult browns.

Now onto other things! :O this weekend is suppose to be a productive one and so far so good! I made cupcakes today lmao and I'm looking if I want to order lavender and Rose extracts roflmao~
I also got some glitter puff paint to get working on Esther lawlz...I really need to order my rhinestones and wig lawl and stop ordering misc. items. I ordered some several accessories the other day too out of impulse. I just gotta give it 2 weeks for it to come to me~ hahaha

I worked on my new Gundam too~ the Wing Custom Zero

the gundam came with a mini figure of Hero but like I said I wont be arsed to paint it coz..just no )8 not a big fan of him....

and I really need to get a grey gundam marker and top coat again.

and last night I tried making a ghetto light box hahahaha! Out of a box and white construction paper and a bright lamp. few things I learned from this experience…

lOL. 2 lamps are better than one, To help eliminate shadows but of course photoshop can fix that /:

Secondly….I tried the fabric trick too, It didnt work out too well! hahaha It works better when the fabric is hanging off something and clearly when its ironed/steamed out…

I’m going to try using presentation boards with the white poster papers I got, might turn out better and saves me room since I can break it down and put it away when I’m done with it.

Here are some samples from my first try at this... and yes those are some macarons! :o so goooddd

these are the Trader Joe macarons I was tweeting about....

they come in a box of a dozen. 6 chocolates and 6 vanilla. I didn't try the chocolate coz I'm not a fan of chocolate anything so I gave it to my little brother. lol.
their ok for something that comes frozen! the serving sizes is pretty ok, I've had bigger ones LMAO. their probably the size of a Mochi /:

just let them sit out for a few mins to thaw out before biting into it. The cookie part has a good crust to it and has a nice soft chewy center, but biting into the filling I can taste a layer of sugar. Which I wish it didn't have )8
but meh, cant complain. its $4 for a box of 12. Versus going to a bakery which retails for almost $14+ for a box of dozen. But yes I wont give up on attempting to make my own! I just need to find a pocket heater since I'm afraid now that its cooler, there would be too much moisture in the air that it wouldnt make my macarons correct Q_Q...
I wouldn't want to have to waste batch after batch when almond flour is not cheap! but I did find Almond MILL at Trader Joe for about $4-5...I'm sure theres a tutorial out there some where on how to make ur own almond flour using the almond mill....
