Fashion District HAULLLL

LOL oh the madness......my haul from the LA Fashion District!

I've been planning this trip to the Fashion District for quite sometime now since I've needed quite a few things to pick up anyway but didnt want to spend abutt load in San Diego and figured I'd get more for my buck i the Fashion District and much much much more  choices when I go up there :D

so on my list to things to buy was:

1. Cheese Danishes LOLZ. You dont understand. Little Tokyo and Glendale has the best bakeries for these babies XDDDD
2. A new roller bag, small-medium size to replace my already falling apart duffel bag that I use to travel with me, I'm sick and tired of hauling it across parking lots of train stations and through air port terminals for short trips =3=!! I have a bigger suitcase but like I said, its...BIG D:<
3. Incense sticks. NEED. Grandma's house smells weird...../:
4. FABRIC IS A MUST. 

lolol now onto the purchasssess of the epic day at the LA Fashion District! but oh, fuck. First. Lemme tell you I was DISSAPPOINTED!! We got there around 9ish close to 10?  I think it was around 10am actually, and drove through the FD and nothing seemed to have been open yet /: so we went to Starbucks by the Staple Center to grab breakfast and kill timehoping things would start opening up by 11, coz normally tomy understanding the last few times Ive been there, everything was quite lively by 10.  Went back around close to 11 but still nothing, then drove to Little Tokyo and hanged out at the book store till noon to see if things got better. I looked at alot of Photobooks. I eventually want to publish a few photobooks :3 def one of my projects I'll be working on! >:D I'm excited. I wrote down alot of the names of the photobooks and I'll be hunting them all down via Amazon >:D

around noon finaly went back to the FD but bah, figured it was just a slow start....but nooo =3=ll ALOT of the places were actually closed! D': all the good fabric vendors were cloed that day /: saaaad but Santee Ally was still bustling as always....I just wish more places were open. but its ok, I got everything on my list that I needed. Minus the cheese danishes xD;;; but thats ok!

behold the new smaller-medium sized cute roller bag >:D I had every intention of getting a LEOPARD print one since I've seen them acouple times at the fasbion district with a matching carry on one BUT since alot of the places were close yesteday I ended up getting this one. Not bad. Its still cute and obnoixous. I definitely wanted to get something flashy so it stands out and I know its mine :3 even my other luggage is an obnoxious print by Nine West. This one also kinda reminds me of Betsey Johnson xD They had another version, that was hot pink with lime green dots. LOL not that was obnoxious, I was eyeing that one before this one because the pink x green one had a matching hand-bag that I'm sure the lady would have given to me for a discount as well. but Steven persuaded me to get this one coz the handle was better and true, I was starting to doubt on getting the other one since it might get  dirty quicker. The lady was nice and gave it to me for $20 flat >:D aweesommmeee I say.

incense sticks and a case for me to burn it in. I was hoping to get these at China Town since they had more variety in the scents and would come in a bigger bulk but we ran out of time and I just picked these up while in Little Tokyo. Next time I'm definitely going to grab the bigger boxes.

 

yessshhh I finally found it lOLOLOLO! I've been looking for these for so long and didnt wanna buy one off ebay xD coz I think its lol to get it from ebay just for 1 bandana XDDD I'm still llooking for the 'gas-mask' printed one /: hot topic use to carry them but I didnt wanna drop $12 for it =3= I might as well print my own at work. OH LOLZ. Stupid me, why didnt I just do that from the very beginning?! =3=lll
atleast this one cost me under $5......
 

 

Hello Kitty Mac makeup which I'm pretty sure is FAKE MAC. xD I dont really wear eye makeup alot outside of events, but the lady gave it to me for a cheaper price due to the crack on the pallete and I've been looking for a nice pallete with purples and pinks for the up-coming Sanrio 50th anniversary event. I need to get cracking on designs for that actually. The packaging suckered me into it XDD

 

 

FABRIC HAULLLL for the weeekeeennnd >:D I did NOT get enough of the red plaid since there was only a yard left in the spool =3=ll and I couldnt find more at the rest of the district. At the bottom is a purple pinstripe fabric >:D I bought a bunch of zippers to use for side pouches that I'll be working on @.@ and I also bought some STUDS! >:D and a few other trinket thingies to add onto the different designs I'm making for Black Heaven's line. :D excitedd but I'm sad that I didnt come back with as much fabric as I had intended to mostly coz alot of the places WERE CLOSED. FAIL! I need to go back before PMX so I can make more outfits for everything for PMX @.@;;

I noticed there were alot of Fashion Students and cosplayers too while at the fashion dstrict, everyone was hunting for fabrics! I wonder if everyones getting ready for PMX or something and Fashion Week/finals for all those Otis and FIDM students?XD it was interesting.
I also ran into Brian and Alex of Scarlet Antidote >:D and I'm pretty sure they were also gearing up for PMX hahaha. Fun!

my final and biggest purchase of the day was....dundundundun....
 

 

yes...a tiger kigurumi LOLZ. I plan on wearing it at night during PMX since I plan to do Taiga Aisaka from Tora Dora >D and at night when its time to chill, I'll switch to the Tiget Kigurumi lol and I'm also ready set for Halloween hahahaha. This was $40 at some store at Little Tokyo, pretty cheap considering everything else is $60-80 online, but I know I've seen this brand at AX selling for roughly 40 as well...so not bad. Really. :D

We had planned on going to JapanLA and China town but we all just got too tired already and decided to call it a day XD;;
it was fun nonetheless. Got home around 7ish or 8ish? I was sooo tired from not having slept alot the last couple weeks but I pushed through and went over to my brothers to play some HALO REACH >D hahahaha then clearly passed out and woke up this morning, went home to change and get ready for my hair appointment to get my roots redone. lolz. Roots are still kinda yellow-orangeish, this is already after being bleached twice. I got a hair treatment for free. Will rock the roots for a bit because I cannot be arsed to throw ash ontop of them so soon xD.

 

Now time to figure out an outfit for the X Japan concert this weekend @.@ hoooshiit.

lol, I never have cute little entries like lemontree11 XDD;; mine are always so....BLARGH JUST POST ALREADY type of deal hahahah its ok. Its all just for my own personal memories anyways but I always think aesthetics are important hahahaha. Anyways, gosh, I havent updated in a awhile that didnt include a rant with it XD:;;

So I guess lets get started lol.

At a last minute decision I decided to attend the 6% Doki Doki event in LA >:D aka the Sweet Streets 2 Art Gallery. So many magnificent artwork and I got to meet Irene Yuen aka Loooo >:D who did the wonderful photograph of Julie and Ari Honey >333
Unfortunately, I was retarded and arrived late D': me and N got caught up in Little Tokyo and had to run back to her place to finish getting everyone ready hahaha. But lets back track~ before that, I spent a good portion of my morning at Glendale's Galleria and at Borders.

I didnt quite get a full body pic of what I was wearing, coz. well, I just failed at it. I was watching Kami Kaze girls the night before and was inspired to wear a red Tartan dress and do twin tails for once.(the coordination was inspired by Momoko's red dress and twin tail combo during the pachinko portion of the movie) Omfg yes its a first >D;; and omg.....so many people said 'ogneornhsoeih it doesnt look like you!' yeah o_Ol dont worry, it was quite as awkward and shocking for me too.

I got to meet the designer as well, he was quite nice. I should have dressed more colorful, but its ok. I felt like everyone and their mom that was there was dressed in Lolita. Hahaha, there were so many AP girls there. I'm sure PMX will simply be flooding of them. But I met a few nice lolitas there :D I kinda wished I had asked for their LJs too /: mebe I'll run into them at pMX?!
I'm kinda happy, haha despite how busy I am, it just simply means life is picking itself up together again and simply doing things. Haha.

Toshi totally wanted that jacket. Haha.

I didnt get to take alot of picture since it was poor lighting. The event was packed, there were so many people there it made being inside quite warm! I also met new people and caught up with some people as well who I've lost track with!

THe best part of the event was. 1. I got to try out a new look HAHA 2. I got to meet a super cutie! >3 I hope to abuse em for future photoshoots too >:Dhahahah (i'm such a creeper, I just approach people and want to just attack them and dress them up lol and yeaaaah)

this entry feels kinda rushed. I'm tired but I feel like I should blog about it nonetheless!

Next weekend, I go back to LA again! To go shoping at the fashion district and the following week, I'm BACK again!! >DDD hahaha for the X Japan concert! >:D I hope to see lil cutie there hahahha. I got totally giddy when I got a reply from them on FB and I was just so ecstatic that they agreed to do some modeling for me. OH JOOOOY >:DDDD

I totally forgot to mention, I suck major balls coz I totally missed my morning train from the Glendale station by 1 minute! the train was EARLY and LEFT EARLY i'm like WTFFFF I normally leave form Union Station but I decided why not the Glendale one since my friends apartment is so much closer there?! omgosh xD I had to catch the following one which was 2 hrs later, but its ok. HAHAHA. But man, I was super tired and the train ride was just barely bearable! the train is normally NOT PACKED but when I went, omfg, preteens, kids and teenagers. =3=lll
there was this preteen kid who was at the other side of me, who kept catching glances at me and this 2 other punk girls who looked like they were in HS, they were totally loud and obnoxious. Gosh D': I had my shades on the entire time ubt yeah I couldnt help but keep catching the girl sneak glances at me or just stare at my direction, I'm like...wtf....seriously. I tried to go to sleep and ignore them but wow it was just an annoying ride! =3=ll

then when I got back to SD, I had to drag my damn duffel bag a good distance down the parking lot since I had parked my car WAAAAY down over at overnight parking. Jesssuuss I should have learned my lesson when I went to Salt Lake. PACK ROLLER BAGS. But the only roller bag I have is a huge one. So I'm going to make it a point that when I go to the fashion district next weekend to pick up a medium sized one for when I travel to cons andetc that doesnt quite require a LARGE roller bag >:D and I can finally trash my duffel bag, the very same onee I got and broke during Cosmo school - which I just stitched up together hahahaha xD;;

I'm quite excited for the X Japan concert but dont know what to wear! Hoping I ind something at the fashion district or find fabric to make an outfit nd I gotta start making outfits for future fashion shows, PMX and ALA >_O I'm still debating if I'll have time to make Taiga from Tora Dora as well! /:

but yeah as soon as I got back to SD, my friend blows up my phone and wanted to go to Downtown, I was already pretty exhauted at that point but forced myself to go anyway since I dont really have anywhere to go /: (cant go back to grandmas till its nightfall) so I went to downotwn with her and walked around for a bit. didnt really see anything I liked /: but heres pictures anyways! :D

but yeah, we went inside urban outfitters, I can never really find anything I'd like to particularly WEAR from that shop but I do like staring at their novelty items :D
like as....HEADPHONES. coz I'm a sucker for them!

candy earphones. TOTALLY WANT D': I really wanted the bubble gum hahaha but in Little TOkyo they had the rillakuma ones, but I still had headphones, so I decided to forego getting another pair despite the buy 1 get 1 free promo and these were $10. But just my luck, this afternoon at work. I BREAK my headphones =3=;; (they were cheap anyway, I keeep the skulll candy DJ ones at home) So I went to Ross to try and find these or something similar coz I've seen them carry these at Ross before for $6. To no avail, they didnt have the candy ones or the skull candy ones. BUT! I did find THESE:

ROSE SHAPED EARPHONES. FUCKYEAH XDDD HAHAHAHHA. Dork. LOl. Given a choice, I'd be using Audiotechs, but its oks~ these are snazzy lol.

I kinda really want an itouch. no. Need. I've been needing to update my music player for years now. I'm still using Yepp by Samsung /:

this post will be completely and utterly retarded and unrelated to anything irl thats more importantly happening.
but who cares.
I just blew $25 on pervy mangas LOL xD my friend works in Borders and got me a discount on some mangas. I normally dont like buying mangas anymore when you can pirate them lulz, even though onemanga is down there are ways around everthing xD
but Zone-00 is one of those mangas that I cant simply 'pirate' because I can.LOL. Shin bought vol.1 before and I got into it, I bought vol.2 but I decided to give him vol.2 to keep him busy on the plane to Okinawa. But lo and behold xD hes not coming back ROFLMAO that means fuck you cant buy vol. 3-4 and not have 1 and 2! So I ended up getting em xD;;

lololol. pervy manga readings at work~ lol, I seriously dont BUY mangas anymore but then i realized mangas are one of those things you can always reread again and again /: too bad Book Off doesnt carry Zone-00 TAT but then again, I think I'd rather buy em new /:

and I also got a pad/notebook thingie from Morning Glory, its a pad of letter paper? I guess thats the best way to describe it? I normally write letters using ripped notebook paper xD yes, coz I'm ghetto that way LOL! I was trying to avoid getting something 'uberly' cute /:
and this was as close as I could find xD and the ones at Dollar Tree are just epic fail. LOL. So if I got any from Dollar Tree,I'm better off using notebook paper HAHA

but seriously, fail that no one ever writes anymore /: everyones spoiled by emails and etc, Ilike emails for their convenience and cheapness but. Its....so bland D: and I like hand written letters more since its more...personal? and I think its always NICE to receive something in the mail - other than stuff you've bought online and are anxiously awaiting for xD

I always make it a point to carry stamps with me :3 just not envelopes. But stamps for post cards. Too bad it requires 3 freakin' stamps just to send a letter to Okinawa! D:
