199. Wig Supplier Cosplay Wig Review!

I know I'm really good at procrastinating on somethings, I didn't think I was one of those people who would fall in this pit of back logged entries..but I guess I am ): especially with cosplay season coming up and one of the biggest events of the summer / year is coming up - Anime Expo 2012! Here we go!


but honestly, I cant help but feel a little bit more laid back on this con than I should be...other than me spazzing on getting costumes done lOL. Maybe its the fact that I get paid vacation for this one? or a long and I mean LONG weekend ahead. Or the long summer heat? Or just the possibility of seeing some friends who I havent seen in a while?! OH MY! lol. I'm probably totally downplaying this but would probably be the type of person to freak out the week prior but I'm really trying to avoid that...and with that being said. My next post is going to talk about COSPLAY MAKE & SKIN CARE ESSENTIALS!





Lets move onto the wig review~ A few weeks ago I had placed an order for a wig long curly blonde pig tailed wig for a cosplay I need for AX. Most websites sell these wigs at about $40-60~ ave price point. Shipping included. I usually opt to order my wigs via eBay or through Taobao group orders. But having ordered most of my wigs already I just needed ONE wig and I was not really that intrigued to pay an arm and a leg for shipping with a Taobao group. Lo and behold my friend recommended www.wig-supplier.com!

A little bit about the seller; they are a direct wig manufacturer and supplier from China, they DO have an ebay store but I checked out their ebay page and their actual website- there is a huge price difference. I personally directly ordered from their website vs their eBay page.

Communication: PERFECT COMMUNICATION. I had contacted the seller first with a few inquiries before I had placed my order. I got a reply for my question within the next day! I contacted them through their email form on their website since I wanted to make sure I was ordering from a reputable seller and...well lets face it. This wig looks like a dupe of  Gothic Lolita Wigs and if you looked through the website they do have some similar dupe wigs for half the price....

After placing my order I got an email back from my contact from the store informing me my payment has been received (they process orders via Paypal payments). You can request for a tracking # and they also offer different shipping options.

Shipping: I opted for the cheapest shipping possibly since I wasnt in any hurry since I was ordering this fairly early. and I was afraid to spend too much for a wig I'm not sure the quality of?....

the shipping is based on the weight of the product, and considering that the wig I ordered is ONE full wig with 2 falls with it, the shipping came out to be $10...so I paid averagely $26 for my whole order.

I surprisingly received my order within a weeks time from placing my order! And the shipping I opted for was regular Air Mail! :D the wig came in secured in a padded envelope and the wig came in a plastic zip lock with stuffing to keep its shape as well as on a hair net to keep it together.

Quality: The most important part that I'm sure everyone is looking at hahaha! I have no problems so far of hair shedding, the wig came out of packaging (squished if I may add) but bounced right back to life once I took it out. There was no smell to it, and  the curls are as bouncy as ever. The base wig is pretty full. I dont have very good photos of it, since I took everything with my laptop's webcam and my iPhone.I should have better photos of it in action come Anime Expo.

I can brush my hands through the curls and have them bounce right back into shape. I'll have to edit this review after AX to see if its widthstand a convention where you're running around battling the elements lmao - aka wind tangling your wig ):

I clearly am not a very good at this LMAO. I'll need to redo this post with a better photo of the wig. Hopefully before AX me and Hannsel can durp around with our wigs LMAO
